Em không thể chịu nỗi sự vui mừng! Vì thế, vui mừng đã </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">làm em hết ăn ngon. Nhưng khi càng đau khổ nhiều, em ăn ngon gấp bốn, thật </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">ngược đời!”.</span><span style="line-height:200%; font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:18.7pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Mặc dầu muốn tử đạo, Chị Têrêsa không tìm kiếm đau khổ vì đau khổ, mà </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Chị yêu đau khổ vì nó là phương tiện thể hiện tình Chị yêu mến Chúa Giêsu. Cũng như Thầy Chí Thánh muốn chịu rửa bằng máu để chứng tỏ lòng Ngài </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">thương ta, nhưng theo bản tính nhân loại thì Ngài càng thấy ngại ngùng sợ hãi.</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:18.7pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Lại nữa, khi tỏ bày với Chúa ước vọng muốn chịu đau khổ vì Ngài, Chị luôn </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">kèm theo lời nguyện là tuân theo thánh ý Chúa quan phòng về Chị. Những ngày </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">cuối đời, tâm tình hoàn toàn phó thác theo ý Chúa đã ảnh hưởng mãnh liệt tới </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">nỗi làm Chị thốt lên:</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:18.7pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">“Em không ước muốn chịu đau khổ cũng như chết chóc nhưng em vẫn yêu </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; "><span style="color:black; ">quý cả hai. Lúc này chỉ còn lòng phó thác hướng dẫn em, ngoài việc xin thánh ý </span><span style="color:black; ">Chúa thực hiện trọn vẹn trên em, thì em không biết nguyện cầu gì khác nữa”</span><sup><span style="letter-spacing:-.35pt; color:#0056AC; ">103</span></sup><span style="color:black; ">.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:18.7pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;line-height:200%;"><strong><span style="line-height:200%; font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:blue; ">Đừng xin an ủi </span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:18.7pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Chị hãm mình bên trong mạnh mẽ tới nỗi không bao giờ Chị xin Chúa lấy một </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">chút an ủi. Đây là một chi tiết làm nổi bật vấn đề Chị khuyên tôi. </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; "><br>
<span style="color:black; ">Khi mới vào tu viện, tôi chiến đấu mà luôn thấy thất bại, thành công thì ít, </span><span style="color:black; ">thất vọng lại như gần kề. Những lời Chị khuyên rất khôn ngoan tuy đi sâu vào </span><span style="color:black; ">tâm hồn, nhưng tôi càng thấy thấm thía bao nhiêu thì lại càng đau khổ vì không </span><span style="color:black; ">thực hiện được bấy nhiêu! Tôi tự nhủ: “Không, không bao giờ tôi đi tới cùng </span><span style="color:black; ">được, thôi, thà chịu nhỏ bé trên thiên đàng còn hơn. Tôi không thể tiến thêm!”. </span><span style="color:black; ">Trong tình cảnh phức tạp đó, tôi xin Đức Trinh Nữ thương cho tôi chút an </span><span style="color:black; ">ủi hay chỉ một giấc mộng cũng đủ. Và Đức Mẹ đã nhậm lời tôi. </span><span style="color:black; ">Khi ngủ, tôi thấy mình nức nở khóc ở ngoài sân. Lòng trào lên niềm khắc </span><span style="color:black; ">khoải lo âu. Tôi ngước nhìn lên và bầu trời trải rộng thênh thang trước mắt, chung quanh tôi những đám mây nhỏ lững lờ trôi theo dòng gió mát. Những </span><span style="color:black; ">triều thiên bay cuộn vào nhau thật giống một vòng hào quang được điểm trên vì </span><span style="color:black; ">sao sáng. Có hàng ngàn vì sao khác, thực là những đám hàng hà sa số!… Những </span><span style="color:black; ">đám mây dần dần tan biến phía cuối chân trời, và cứ thế tôi lại khám phá ra </span><span style="color:black; ">những áng mây hồng khác.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:18.7pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Nhịp thở dồn mạnh, hồi hộp, nước mắt khô ráo, tôi thấy chân trời đỏ rực, đỏ </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">như máu và màu đỏ này lên, lên mãi. </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Lúc đó tôi nghĩ rằng mình làm việc không phải vì mình, nhưng là để làm đẹp </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">lòng Chúa và để cứu rỗi các linh hồn… Chiếm nước thiên đàng phải là để dành </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">cho những người tội lỗi, như người mẹ sinh con trong đau khổ, tôi cũng phải </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">chịu nhiều đau khổ để sinh ra các linh hồn.</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:18.7pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Tâm hồn mở rộng, tôi khoan khoái vô cùng trước nhiệm vụ cao đẹp tuyệt </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">vời đó. Tôi sung sướng quá liền kể lại giấc mơ đầy khích lệ trên cho Chị nghe. </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Chị hăng hái bảo tôi: “A! Đó là điều em sẽ không bao giờ làm!… Xin được an ủi! </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Chị muốn nên giống em thì chị biết rõ là em, em chỉ nguyện cầu:</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:4.55pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">‘Ôi! Lạy Chúa, xin đừng sợ là con đánh thức Chúa.</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; "> </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Trong an vui con đợi chờ Nước Chúa, Thiên Đàng</span><sup><span style="line-height:200%; letter-spacing:-.35pt; font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:#0056AC; ">104</span></sup><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">.</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; "> </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Êm dịu dường nào được phụng sự Chúa trong màn đêm thử thách, Ở đời này ta chỉ sống bằng đức tin thôi!…’”.</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:18.75pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;line-height:200%;"><strong><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:blue; ">“Quả thật Chúa ngủ”</span></strong><strong><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:blue; "> </span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:18.7pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Trong cơn bệnh cuối cùng Chị không được nếm lấy một chút an ủi. Một lần sau </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">khi chịu lễ, Chị nói với chúng tôi: </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">“Thật đúng như khi người ta đặt hai trẻ sống chung, chúng chẳng nói với </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">nhau nửa lời. Tuy thế em đã nói đôi điều nhỏ mọn với Chúa Giêsu, nhưng Ngài </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">không trả lời: Quả thật Chúa đang ngủ!”.</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:.15pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;line-height:200%;"><strong><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:blue; ">Đừng để ai thương xót mình</span></strong><strong><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:blue; "> </span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:18.7pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Một ngày phải giặt giũ, tôi phàn nàn là nhọc mệt hơn các chị em khác, vì ngoài </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">việc chung tôi còn làm thêm công việc mà người khác không biết. Chị trả lời: </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">“Em muốn thấy chị luôn can trường như một dũng sĩ, không phàn nàn vì </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">khó nhọc, coi thương tích như những vết trầy da, luôn muốn xoa dịu đau khổ </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">cho kẻ khác và thấy đau khổ của họ tuy bé nhỏ hơn của mình, lại đáng kể hơn”. </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Rồi Chị làm tôi phải thú nhận rằng: vì không được người khác hiểu biết nên </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">tôi thấy mệt mỏi hơn. </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">“Tại sao ta không đủ can đảm? Chỉ vì không có ai thương xót ta. Khi có </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">người nói với một nữ tu: ‘Chị mệt rồi đấy, chị đi nghỉ đi’. Tức khắc chị ấy thấy bớt mệt. Ai cũng muốn kẻ khác biết mình đau khổ. Thánh nữ Margarita Maria </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">có hai nhọt, nhưng chỉ thấy cái nhọt thứ nhất đau, vì người ta đã biết đến cái </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">nhọt thứ hai và các nữ tu khác đã thương hại Thánh nữ vì cái nhọt đó rồi.</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:18.7pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Khi có người thông cảm, chị hãy nhận đó như một sự an ủi, nhưng nếu người </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">ta không nói gì, chị cũng hãy vui mừng. Ở vào trường hợp chị, em thích người ta </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">không an ủi em gì và em lấy thế làm hài lòng.
