Từ sớm mai cho tới khuya, người bỏ mặc tôi mòn-mỏi vỏ vàng” (I-sai-a 38: 12).</strong></em></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Than ôi ! Bao người đang quá bận rộn làm ăn, đang sửa soạn hoặc đang cẩn thận thi hành những dự án đáng giá, bất chợt sự chết đến cắt ngang mọi sự! Qua ngọn đèn thắp sáng bên giường người chết, chúng ta càng cảm-nghiệm rõ ràng hơn, mọi sự ở trần gian thật hư vô: vui chơi, chức-quyền, danh-vọng.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Những ai quá yêu mến trần gian không thấy được những hư-vô đó! Khi nằm trên giường chết thử hỏi của cải khổng lồ, danh-vọng vào bậc nhất còn có giá-trị gì! Một ít hạnh-phúc giả-trá trần gian trở thành nơi u-buồn. Bóng tối sự chết bao phủ mọi sự, ngay cả vương-quyền chức-tước.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Hiện giờ, mọi sự vật khác với giá trị thực chất của nó vì những say mê trần thế của chúng ta. Sự chết đến lột trần tất cả, phơi bày ra ánh sáng giá-trị thực-chất của nó. Tất cả chỉ là mây khói, dơ bẩn, hảo-huyền và đau khổ.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Lạy Chúa! Của-cải, chức-quyền còn dùng làm gì khi thần chết đến. Chúng con chỉ cần có một bộ quan tài và vài áo quần mặc che thân. Danh-vọng còn giá-trị gì khi mọi sự đã biến đi, chỉ còn lại vỏn-vẹn một đám tang, nó không giúp ích gì nếu hồn thiêng phải trâm-luân. Sắc đẹp dầu nghiêng nước nghiêng thành đi nữa cũng chẳ ích gì, khi mất tất cả, chỉ còn lại giòi bọ và một nắm tro tàn.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><strong><em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">“Người đã biến tôi thành trò cười cho thiên hạ, là kẻ bị người ta khạc nhổ vào mặt.” (Gióp 17: 6).</span></em></strong><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Nhà phú-hộ kia, vị quan quyền nọ chết đi, chỉ trở thành trò đàm-tiếu cho thiên hạ, nếu đời sống họ xấu xa. Họ thét ra lửa một thời gian, nhưng rồi không qua được phép công thẳng của Thiên-Chúa.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Ở trong mộ, thân xác họ cũng thối rữa như thân xác kẻ nghèo khó: <strong><em>“Ở đó lớn bé lẫn lộn.” (Gióp 3: 19).</em></strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Hỏi sắc đẹp mỹ-miều ở đâu, mà bây giờ chỉ còn là một đóng giòi bọ? Chức-quyền của họ ở đâu, mà bây giờ thân xác họ phải chôn vùi vào lòng đất, và linh hồn họ bị ngụp lặn trong biển lửa hỏa ngục? Ôi bất hạnh biết bao, nếu kẻ khác biết lấy những điều này làm đề-tài suy-gẫm, mà tôi lại bỏ qua!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Chúng ta hãy ghi nhớ rằng đừng đợi đến lúc chết để sửa lại lương-tâm hư đốn, mà chính là cuộc sống mình. Hãy mau mau làm ngay bây giờ, kẻo không còn thì giờ trì hoãn nữa. Mọi sự tàn-lụi thật mau<em>:”<strong>Thời giờ chóng qua.”</strong></em></span></p>

Con biết rằng lúc phạm tội, con đành bỏ mất Chúa. Ôi, lạy Chúa! xin chỉ cho con biết con phải làm gì để lấy lại được Ơn Thánh Chúa?</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Nếu Chúa muốn con thống-hối các tội-lỗi con đã phạm, con xin hết lòng ăn-năn, và con muốn chết vì lo buồn hối lỗi. Nếu Chúa muốn con hy-vọng được ơn tha thứ, con rất hy-vọng được thứ tha nhờ Máu cực châu báu Chúa đã đổ ra.</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>

Lạy Chúa, Đấng cứu-chuộc rất đáng yêu mến của con.</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
