<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><strong><em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">“Khi đến giờ hấp-hối, sắp bước sang ngưỡng cửa đời đời, bao lo-âu dồn-dập, họ tìm kiếm sự an vui, nhưng đâu có tìm thấy.”</span></em></strong><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Họ còn có thể trốn thoát nỗi cắn-rứt của lương-tâm được không? Họ tìm kiếm sự an bình tâm hồn, nhưng nào sự an bình ở trong tâm-hồn những người tội-lỗi sao? Họ lo lắng, bồn-chồn với ý nghĩ không còn bao xa nữa sẽ ra trình diện trước Chúa Giêsu, Đấng thẩm phán chí công, mang theo bao tội-lỗi nặng nề.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><strong><em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">“Lo-âu này chồng chất trên lo-âu khác”.</span></em></strong><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Cái tin động trời về sự chết vừa tiếp nhận, tiếng lương-tâm cắn-rứt, thời gian chờ đợi, lòng lo-âu về phép công thẳng Chúa, nỗi lo sợ về số phận đời đời đang chờ đợi kẻ có tội; tất cả những việc ấy dấy động lên như một con giông tố, làm kinh-hãi và rối trí tội-nhân, và tình trạng đó kéo dài cho đến khi tội nhân lìa trần.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><strong><em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">“Tổ phụ Abraham đã vững tin vào Chúa, mặc dầu ở trong trường hợp không còn lẽ mà trong cậy nữa”. (Rô-ma 4 - 18).</span></em></strong><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Nhưng những người tội-lỗi, thất vọng, chán-chường, không còn tin-tưởng vào Chúa. Họ đang run sợ trước cái chết khốn nạn. Nhưng than ôi! Sao họ trước đây không biết những hậu-quả này để đừng đắm mình mãi trong đàng tội-lỗi. Hơn nữa, có ai bảo đảm cho họ khỏi chết bất thình lình như bị sét đánh, trúng gió hay đứt mạch máu? Dầu có thì giờ lúc sắp chết để trở lại với Chúa, nhưng ai có thể đoán chắc được họ thật sự trở lại?</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>

Hãy hối cải ngay</span></strong></a> <span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Thánh Augustinô đã phải chiến đấu suốt 12 năm mới thắng được các nết xấu để trở lại với Chúa. Thử hỏi, những người cố chấp liều mình sống lâu năm trong đàng tội-lỗi, cứ đinh-ninh rằng họ sẽ trở lại trong phút chốc giữa cơn bệnh dữ dằn, trí khôn bối-rối, trước giờ chết được sao? Chỉ nói và hứa ngoài miệng chưa đủ, phải nói và hứa tự đáy lòng và đem thực-hành ngay lời nói, lời hứa đó mới chứng-tỏ được sự quyết-tâm của mình.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Lạy Chúa! Thật đáng run sợ cho những kẻ có tội biết bao, khi lương-tâm họ bị lu mờ, họ nhận-thức được các tội-lỗi nặng nề, họ sợ Chúa phán xét, sợ hỏa-ngục, sợ khốn-khó đời đời, đủ thứ lo sợ, nhưng lại không muốn thoát khỏi các nỗi lo sợ đó bằng cách thống-hối ăn-năn! Trì hoãn ngày mai chỉ là một cách trấn-át tiếng nói lương-tâm, đi theo con đường ma quỷ đã vạch cho họ. Không trở lại ngay chỉ là cách cứ sống trong giông-tố hãi-hùng và kéo dài cuộc sống tội-lỗi cho đến khi lìa trần.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Một vài tác-giả nói rằng lời cầu nguyện, nước mắt và lời hứa của kẻ có tội sắp chết cũng giống như nước mắt và lời hứa của một người bị kẻ cướp đang dí dao găm vào cổ họng, kết-liểu cuộc đời người đó. Thât bất hạnh biết bao cho những ai nằm trên giường chết và lìa khỏi trần gian với bao tội-lỗi nặng nề.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>

Các thương tích Chúa Giêsu là nguồn hy-vọng của con. Các thương tích Chúa là suối hồng-ân, là nguồn từ-bi, máu Chúa đổ ra để rửa sạch bao tội lỗi con đã phạm.</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>

Lạy Chúa, nhìn lên các thương tích Chúa, con khơi dậy lên niềm cậy trông và lòng con bừng cháy lửa yêu mến Chúa.</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>

Con yêu Chúa, con luôn yêu Chúa. Xin Chúa cất khỏi tâm hồn con những gì không phải là tình yêu Chúa, và xây-dựng trên con lòng ước muốn và sự quyết-tâm đích thực, để từ đây con chỉ yêu một mình Chúa mà thôi.</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
