<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><strong><em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">“ Này đây cửa nhà Giavê, những kẻ công-chính sẽ được bước vào.” (Thánh Vịnh 118 : 20 ).</span></em></strong><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>

Thánh Bo-ro-mê-ô, lúc thấy trên nhà mình có một bức tranh vẽ một bộ xương người và một cái lưỡi hái, đã cho gọi hoa-sĩ bảo bôi bỏ hình lưỡi hái, và vẽ thay vào đó hình chìa khoá bằng vàng, để thánh nhân ngày càng ước ao sự chết, vì qua sự chết, ngài được vào với Chúa.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Thánh Gioan Cờ-rit-dô-tôm đã nói: <strong><em>“Đặt giả-thuyết một ông vua đã sửa-soạn mấy căn phòng sang trọng cho một người trong cung điện nhà vua, nhưng hiện nay nhà vua bắt người ấy sống tạm chờ đợi trong một túp lều xiêu vẹo, hỏi người đó ao ước biết bao được rời bỏ túp lều để vào toạ-hưởng cung-điện nhà vua!”</em></strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Vua Thánh Đavid đã than thở: <strong><em>"Xin đưa hồn con ra khỏi cảnh tù đày này. (Thánh Vịnh 141: 10 )<br>
</em></strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Ông già Simêông, khi ẳm Chúa Hài-Đồng trong tay, đã không xin đặc-ân nào khác ngoài việc xin được ra khỏi cuộc sống trần gian<em>: <strong>“Lạy Chúa, bây giờ xin Chúa cho tôi tớ Chúa chết bằng an.” (Luca 2 : 29).</strong></em></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Thánh Am-brô-si-ô giải thích<em>: <strong>“Ông già Xi-mê-ong nài xin được chết, nếu không quá cần thiết phải giữ ông lại nữa.”<br>
</strong></em></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Thánh Phao-lồ cũng ước muốn đặc ân đó khi ông than thở: <strong><em>“Tôi ước ao chết để được ở với Chúa Kitô.” ( Phi-lip-phê. 1: 23 )</em></strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Ông quan hầu cận vua Pha-ra-ông đã vui mừng biết bao, khi ông Giuse giải cơn mộng cho ông và nói rằng nay mai ông sẽ rời khỏi cảnh tù đày này và được phục chức! Sao một linh hồn hằng mến Chúa lại không hớn hở khi hay tin không bao lâu nữa sẽ được lìa khỏi thế gian này về hưởng dung nhan Chúa?</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><strong><em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">“Chúng ta hãy vững lòng tin tưởng, vì chúng ta biết rằng, bao lâu chúng ta còn sống trong thân xác, chúng ta còn xa cách Chúa.” (2 Cô-rin-tô 5 :6 )<br>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><a name="II._Qua_sự_chết_vào_cõi_hằng_sống"><strong><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">II. Qua sự chết vào cõi hằng sống</span></strong></a> <span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Bao lâu hồn chúng ta còn ở trong thân xác, chúng ta còn sống xa cách Chúa, trong một miền đất lạ, chưa được vào quê thật. Vì thế, thánh Brunô nói: <strong><em>“Không được gọi là chết, mà chính là bắt đầu cuộc sống mới.”</em></strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Cái chết của các Thánh gọi là ngày giờ khai-sinh, vì qua cái chết, các Ngài được sinh lại trong cuộc sống hạnh-phúc muôn đời bất diệt. Thánh Athanasiô nói: <strong><em>“Người công-chính không chết, nhưng được hoán chuyển.”</em></strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Cái chết của người công-chính chỉ là một cuộc chuyển qua cuộc sống đời đời. Thánh Augustinô nói: <strong><em>“Cái chết đáng yêu quí biết bao, vì chết là hết nỗi âu-lo, hết lao-tác và bắt đầu cuộc an nghỉ đời đời.”</em></strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Vì thế, Thánh nhân nguyện cầu: <strong><em>“Lạy Chúa, xin cho con chết để hưởng nhan thánh Chúa!”</em></strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Thánh Xi-pờ-ri-ăng nói: <strong><em>“Người tội-lỗi kinh hãi sự chết, vì họ qua cái chết họ phải hư mất đời đời.”</em></strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Trái lại, người lành thánh lại qua cái chết vào cõi hằng sống. Thánh Gioan Almonê kể chuyện một nhà phú-hộ kia bảo đứa con trai một cầu nguyện với các Thánh cho con ông được sống lâu trong ơn nghĩa Chúa, nhưng rủi thay, đứa con trai yêu quí của ông chết sớm. Khi đang than khóc về cái chết bất hạnh của con, Chúa cho một thiên-thần đến nói với ông: <strong><em>“Ông xin cho con được sống lâu, nhưng ông hãy vui lên vì con ông đang được hưởng hạnh-phúc đời đời trên Thiên-đàng.”</em></strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Đó cũng là hồng-ân Chúa đã dành cho chúng ta khi Ngài đã hứa với Ôsê: <strong><em>“Ta sẽ chuộc chúng khỏi tay âm phủ.” (Hô-sê 13.14).</em></strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Chúa Giêsu chết vì chúng ta, để ban cho chúng ta sự sống. Khi bị lôi đi hành quyết, thánh tử đạo Piôniô vui mừng hớn hở. Tên đao-phủ hỏi ông về thái-độ khác thường đó, Thánh nhân trả lời: <strong><em>“Ông lầm to. Tôi không đi đến chỗ chết, nhưng tôi đang đi đến cõi sống.”</em></strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Thánh trẻ Xim-phô-ri-ăng được bà mẹ khuyến-khích đi đến giờ tử hình: <strong><em>“Con yêu quí của mẹ, sự sống của con không mất đâu, nó chỉ biến đổi sang sự sống khác tốt đẹp hơn mà thôi.”</em></strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><strong><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">LỜI NGUYỆN CẬY TRÔNG</span></strong><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Lạy Chúa! Con đã xúc phạm đến Chúa bằng cách quay lưng lại với Chúa, nhưng Con Chúa lại làm vinh-danh Chúa bằng hy-sinh cuộc sống trên thập-giá. Vì Đức Giêsu, con yêu dấu Chúa, xin Chúa thứ tha các lỗi lầm cho con. Con xin hứa từ rày về sau sẽ yêu một mình Chúa mà thôi.</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>

Trước đây con đã làm cực lòng Chúa, nay con xin làm vui lòng Chúa mãi mãi.</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>

Con xin khước-từ các cuộc vui giả-trá trần gian và chỉ chú tâm vào việc làm đẹp lòng Chúa, Đấng rất đáng mến yêu và đã thương yêu con vô vàn. Con chỉ xin Chúa tình yêu, và được yêu Chúa mãi mãi cho đến khi chiếm được nước tình yêu.</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
