Hình ảnh sự chết nhắc nhở chúng ta một ngày kia chúng ta sẽ trở về tro bụi, vì chúng ta là bụi tro. Hãy bình tâm suy-nghĩ để nhớ kỹ một sự thật: Có thể một ít năm nữa, ít tháng hay ít ngày, ít giờ nữa không chừng, tôi sẽ nằm bất động dưới mồ, như lời than thở của Thánh Gióp: <strong><em>“Với mồ huyệt, tôi sẽ kêu lên, mày là cha ta, với giòi bọ, mi là mẹ ta, và là chị ta.”(Gióp 17: 14)</em></strong></span></p>

Nếu chúng ta chết và mất linh hồn đời đời, thì chúng ta sẽ mất tất cả, như lời Thánh Lô-ren-sô Gút-ti-ni-ăng<em>: <strong>“Hãy nhớ rằng nhất định chúng ta sẽ chết.”</strong></em></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Một khi đã chết rồi, chúng ta còn ước mong làm gì thêm được nữa? Tốt nhất là hiện giờ còn sống, chúng ta luôn nhớ rằng một ngày kia chúng ta sẽ chết, để làm ngay những gì có thể làm được.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Thánh Bô-na-ven-tu-ra nói<em>: <strong>“Để lái tàu đi đúng đường, thuỷ-thủ phải giữ vững bánh lái. Cũng vậy, muốn có đời sống tốt lành, người ta phải luôn nghĩ đến sự chết.”</strong></em></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Thánh Bê-na-đô cũng nói<em>: <strong>“Hãy nhìn lại những tội-lỗi thời niên thiếu để tự xấu hổ; hãy nhìn lại những lỗi lầm thời thanh xuân để buồn phiền; hãy nhìn đến đời sống bê-tha hiện tại để run sợ và sữa chữa.”</strong></em></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Nhìn các ngôi mộ ở nghĩa trang, Thánh Cac-ni-lô Đệ Lê-li tự nói với mình<em>: <strong>“Nếu những người chết ở đây được sống lại, họ sẽ làm tất cả những gì có thể làm được để được sống đời đời.”</strong></em></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><a name="III._Hoa_trái_cuộc_sống"><strong><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">III. <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Phần tôi, tôi hiện đang có thời giờ, tôi phải làm gì cho phần rỗi của tôi? Đấng thánh tự vấn lương-tâm với tất cả lòng khiêm-nhường. Phần chúng ta, hỡi bạn đọc, có thể chúng ta phải run sợ, khi nghe Chúa quở trách cây vả<em>: <strong>“Đã ba năm qua, Ta đến tìm nơi cây vả này, mà không thấy một quả nào” (Luca 13: 7).</strong></em></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Chúng ta đã được sống hơn ba năm trên trần gian này, chúng ta đã trổ sinh được những hoa quả nào? Thánh Bê-na-đô nhấn mạnh<em>: “<strong>Hãy suy nghĩ kỹ: Chúa không phải chỉ tìm hoa, nhưng Người tìm quả; nghĩa là không phải chỉ có ý muốn và những quyết tâm tốt lành mà thôi, nhưng cần những hoạt-động tốt đẹp nữa.”</strong></em></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Hãy lợi-dụng ngay thời giờ hiện tại mà Chúa thương dành cho ta. Đừng chờ đến lúc không còn thì giờ làm việc lành nữa, để nuối tiếc trước mệnh-lệnh cấp thiết của Chúa:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">“<strong>Này, thời giờ đã hết, hãy rời khỏi trần gian.”</strong> </span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Mau lên đi! đây là thì giờ thuận tiện để làm việc lành. Mau lên đi! những gì qua, là qua luôn.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><strong><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">LỜI NGUYỆN CẬY TRÔNG</span></strong><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Lạy Chúa, phải chăng con là cây vả kia, để đáng nghe những lời khủng-khiếp của Chúa: <strong><em>“Hãy chặt nó đi; để nó choán đất làm gì!” (Luca 13: 7).</em></strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Đúng thế, Lạy Chúa, bao năm qua sống trên trần gian, con đã nảy sinh ra không gì khác hơn là những cỏ dại và gai góc tội-lỗi.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Nhưng Chúa không để con phải thất vọng, như lời Chúa đã phán: <em>“Hãy tìm, sẽ gặp.”</em></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Lạy Chúa, con đang khao khát tìm Chúa, và ước mong tìm được những hồng-ân của Chúa. Con đau đớn ăn-năn, vì những xúc-phạm của con đối với Chúa. Ước gì con được chết vì sầu khổ các lỗi lầm của con.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Con đã chạy trốn Chúa, nhưng con khao-khát hồng-ân Chúa, do lòng lân-tuất Chúa hơn là do công-nghiệp của con. Từ nay, con không chống lại lời mời gọi của Chúa nữa. Con hiến dâng hoàn toàn xác hồn con cho Chúa, không dành lại điều gì, vì Chúa dâng-hiến mọi sự cho con trên thánh-giá. Con hoàn toàn thuộc về Chúa. Xưa Chúa đã phán: <strong><em>“Nếu các con lấy danh Ta mà xin sự gì, Ta sẽ ban cho.” (Gioan 14:14).</em></strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Lạy Chúa Giêsu, tin tưởng vào lời hứa trọng đại của Chúa, xin Chúa ban cho con lòng yêu mến và các hồng-ân của Chúa. Xin cho lửa tình yêu và muôn hồng ân tràn ngập hồn con, nơi mà xưa kia tội lỗi đã ngập tràn.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Con cảm tạ Chúa vì muôn hồng-ân Chúa ban. Khi mà con được Chúa soi sáng, đó là dấu chỉ Chúa đã nghe lời con.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Lạy Chúa Giêsu, xin lắng nghe lời con. Xin đốt cháy trong con lửa tình yêu của Chúa, để con chỉ ước muốn những gì đẹp lòng Chúa.</span></p>
