Tới một ngày nào đó con sẽ chết và được chôn trong mồ để chịu sự hư nát. Mọi người bất kỳ sang, hèn, giàu, nghèo, vua chúa hay thường dân, đều chung một số phận như nhau. Khi linh hồn vừa lìa khỏi xác, xác con sẽ trở về đất và linh hồn con vào cõi sống đời đời.</span></p>

Xác giá lạnh nằm cứng đờ trên giường, mắt sâu, má hỏm, môi và lưỡi nhợt nhạt. Sao ta không nhìn hình-hài người thân nhân hay bạn bè qua đời, để nhờ đó ta biết khinh chê những gì là giả trá trần gian và cải-thiện đời sống?</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Khi thi-thể bắt đầu nát rửa trông càng thê thảm hơn. Các cửa sổ được mở ra, hương đốt lên và người ta vội đưa xác đi chôn, để người còn sống khỏi nhiễm độc. Giàu, nghèo, sang, hèn gì rồi cũng không qua khỏi cảnh hư nát thể xác.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Sự kiêu ngạo, lòng tham lam quá độ của con người đâu rồi? Dầu con người được quí mến, trọng-vọng ở trần gian, các thân nhân cũng buộc lòng phải tẩm liệm và đưa đi chôn cất. Dầu người đó xưa kia văn võ, lịch-sự, duyên-dáng đến đâu đi nữa, không bao lâu người ta sẽ quên đi.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Được tin một người qua đời, kẻ thì bảo người đó là niềm hãnh-diện cho gia đình đáng thương tiếc, người khác lại không mấy hài lòng; người khác nữa lại mừng thầm vì họ được thừa-hưởng một số tài-sản của kẻ chết để lại. Xôn-xao bàn-tán lúc đầu, dần dà rồi cũng thưa dần, và một ngày nào đó không còn ai nhắc đến nữa, ngay cả những người thân-cận, bạn bè thân-thiết nhất. Dần dà các cuộc thăm viếng sẽ bàn-cải về những vấn đề khác, thỉnh thoảng có nhắc đến người quá-cố cũng là may mắn lắm rồi.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Nghĩ lại xem: con đã xử với bà con, bạn hữu con thế nào sau khi họ chết, người khác sẽ xử với con như thế. Người sống vui hưởng trên của-cải để lại, nhưng rồi quên dần người quá-cố ân-nhân. Cũng chính trong phòng người quá-cố thở hơi cuối cùng và chịu phán xét, người ta ăn uống vui chơi như thuở nào. Còn linh hồn con sẽ ra sao?</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Lạy Chúa Giê-su, Đấng Cứu-chuộc con, con tạ ơn Chúa, vì Chúa đã không cất con ra khỏi thế gian, khi con còn phản-nghịch với Chúa. Bao năm qua con đã đáng sa hỏa ngục. Nếu con đã chết ngày giờ nào đó, số phận đời đời của con sẽ ra sao?</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Lạy Chúa, con cảm đội ơn Chúa. Con vui lòng chấp nhận chết cho tội lỗi, để được sống lại vinh-hiển với Chúa. Con vui lòng chết nếu điều đó đẹp ý Chúa.</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Chúa đã chờ đợi con đến nay, xin Chúa chờ đợi con thêm một ít nữa thôi.</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>

Ai biết được, những giòng chữ con vừa đọc, rất có thể là những tiếng sau cùng Chúa gọi con?</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Con biết rằng con không đáng được Chúa thứ tha, vì Chúa đã tha thứ cho con nhiều lần, mà ai-oán thay con lại phản-nghịch với Chúa.</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Lạy Chúa, Chúa không khinh chê những tâm hồn khiêm-nhường và thống-hối ăn-năn, xin Chúa tha thứ cho con, đứa con phản nghịch đang trở lại với Chúa.</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>

Máu Chúa đổ ra để cứu chuộc con, nên con vững tâm đến với Chúa để xin ơn tha thứ. Lạy Chúa, đấng Cứu-chuộc con, con đau đớn hết lòng vì đã xúc phạm đến Chúa.</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>

Con đã xúc phạm đến Chúa quá lắm rồi. Cuộc đời còn lại, con nhất quyết không phạm đến Chúa nữa, và con phải tân tình yêu mến Chúa, vì Chúa đáng mến yêu vô cùng.</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
