Ôi giờ phút sau cùng này quan trọng biết bao, khi buổi kịch trần gian được hạ màn! Hoặc đời đời vui sướng trong cuộc sống hân-hoan, hoặc đau khổ vô cùng trong cuộc sống chua xót!</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Chúa đã chết tất-tưởi trên thập-giá cho chúng ta được chết êm-đềm hạnh-phúc. Đã bao phen, Người mời gọi, khuyên-bảo, cảnh-cáo, chiếu sáng tâm-hồn chúng ta, để chúng ta kết-thúc cuộc đời trong hồng-ân của Chúa.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Người ngoài Công-giáo còn muốn chết êm đềm, huống hồ người tín-hữu.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Chúng ta nhờ đứ tin, đã biết chắc sau khi chết một cuộc sống bất diệt khác bắt đầu. Giờ chết chúng ta đứng trên một trong hai bánh xe: bánh xe đưa chúng ta đến hạnh-phúc viên-mãn đời đời, hoặc bánh xe kéo ta xuống cõi trầm-luân muôn kiếp. Ta sẽ chọn bánh xe nào?</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Đặt giả-thuyết chúng ta được chọn và vỏn vẹn chỉ có hai lô: một lô ghi địa-ngục và lô khác ghi thiên-đàng. Thử hỏi chúng ta phải cẩn thận tìm tòi đến mức nào để lấy cho bằng được lô thiên-đàng! Nếu để đến phút chót chúng ta phải kinh sợ biết bao khi phải lựa chọn: sống hạnh-phúc đời đời hoặc muôn kiếp trầm-luân. Sao ta không chọn ngay từ bây giờ con đường hạnh-phúc và kiên-trì tiến bước trên con đường đó?</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Thánh Bec-na-Đanh thành Sienna kể lại một ông hoàng nọ lúc sắp chết đã kêu lên khủng khiếp: <strong><em>“Tôi có nhiều xứ sở, nhiều lâu đài ở trần gian, nhưng nếu tôi chết đêm nay, tôi cũng chỉ nằm được trong một căn phòng.”</em></strong></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Bạn thân mến, chúng ta biết rõ mỗi người, kể cả bạn và tôi đều phải chết và chỉ chết có một lần, và chết rồi là đi vào số phận đời đời. Vì chỉ chết có một lần nên nếu mắc phải lỗi-lầm, thì phải gánh chịu lầm-lỗi đó đời đời, không bao giờ sửa chữa được. Sao chúng ta không bắt đầu ngay từ giờ phút này, lúc đọc mấy giòng chữ này, làm tất cả những gì có thể làm được, để bảo đảm được chết an-bình, hân-hoan?</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Hãy cấp tốc nắm lấy ngay giờ phút này, làm tôi thờ phượng Chúa, chẳng những cuộc sống chúng ta khỏi lo-âu phiền-muộn, trái lại được an vui tâm hồn, nhất là được an-ủi trong giờ lâm-chung.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:36.0pt;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; ">Hãy sống trong cầu nguyện, năng chịu các phép bí-tích, lánh xa các dịp hiểm nghèo, nếu cần thì hy-sinh cả mạng sống, để được cứu-rỗi đời đời. Hãy nhớ kỹ rằng lo cho số phận đời đời, không sao gọi là chuẩn-bị quá chu đáo cả.</span></p>

Con đã làm cực lòng Chúa biết bao! Chúa đã đổ bao hồng-ân xuống trên đứa con tội lỗi, phản nghịch này! Chúa đã dựng nên con, và khi dựng nên con Chúa đã biết trước tất cả lỗi lầm của con đối với Chúa.</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>

Con đã lạc xa Chúa, và Chúa đã hối thúc con tìm kiếm Chúa, mà Chúa luôn là người bạn nghĩa-thiết với con.</span></em><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:black; "> </span></p>

Lạy Cha chí nhân! Con gớm ghét những lỗi lầm của con trên hết mọi sự.
