Tôi đã hỏi rằng: "Ông đi đâu?" Người ấy đáp: "Tôi đi đo Giêrusalem, coi nó rộng bao nhiêu và dài bao nhiêu". Và đây vị thiên thần đang nói chuyện với tôi ra đi, một thiên thần khác đến đón người và nói: "Hãy chạy lại nói với đứa trẻ ấy rằng: Giêrusalem là nơi trú ngụ không có tường thành, vì trong đó có đông dân cư và súc vật. Chúa phán: "Phần Ta, Ta sẽ nên tường thành lửa đỏ chung quanh nó, và Ta sẽ tỏ vinh quang Ta giữa nó". Chúa lại phán: "Hỡi thiếu nữ Sion, hãy ca tụng và hân hoan: vì này đây Ta đến ngự giữa ngươi. Trong ngày ấy, sẽ có nhiều dân tộc quy phục Chúa, họ sẽ là dân Ta, và Ta sẽ ngự giữa ngươi".</span></p>

Nhưng các ông không hiểu lời đó, vì nó còn bị che khuất, nên các ông không lĩnh hội được ý nghĩa, và các ông không dám hỏi Người về lời ấy.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">Khi Ðức Giêsu báo trước Ngài sẽ bị nộp và bị giết, nhưng các môn đệ không hiểu vì còn quá bỡ ngỡ. Tại sao Ðức Giêsu là Ðấng uy quyền, làm được những phép lạ lớn lao như thế mà lại bị nộp cho người đời? Các môn đệ chỉ nhìn Ðức Giêsu với cái nhìn của con người. Họ nghĩ là Ðức Giêsu đến với một sứ mệnh chính trị: giải phóng Israel khỏi ách thống trị của đế quốc Rôma, dành lại quyền cai trị... chứ chưa nhận ra Ðức Giêsu là Ðấng Cứu Thế đến đem ơn cứu độ, bằng con đường khổ giá.</span></p>

Xin cho chúng con hiểu được rằng vì tội lỗi nhân loại của chúng con, Chúa đã chịu khổ hình, bị đóng đinh để cứu chúng con. Xin cho chúng con biết ăn năn sám hối và mau quay về với Chúa.
