Nước rẽ ra và con cái Israel đi vào giữa lòng biển khô cạn, nước dựng lên như bức thành hai bên tả hữu. Người Ai-cập đuổi theo, toàn thể binh mã của Pharaon, chiến xa và kỵ binh đi theo sau Israel vào giữa lòng biển.</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; "> </span></p>

Người lật đổ bánh xe, khiến xe tiến tới thật vất vả. Người Ai-cập nói: "Ta hãy chạy trốn Israel, vì Chúa chiến đấu giúp họ, chống chúng ta".</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; "> </span></p>

Môsê giơ tay trên biển, và lúc tảng sáng, biển trở lại như cũ. Người Ai-cập chạy trốn, gặp ngay nước biển ập lại. Chúa xô chúng ngã giữa lòng biển. Nước trở lại, vùi dập chiến xa và kỵ binh. Toàn thể quân lực của Pharaon đã theo dân Israel xuống biển, không còn tên nào sống sót. Còn con cái Israel đã đi giữa lòng biển khô cạn, nước dựng như bức thành hai bên tả hữu.</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; "> </span></p>

Và họ thấy xác người Ai-cập trôi dạt đầy bờ, và thấy cánh tay oai hùng của Thiên Chúa đè bẹp Ai-cập, toàn dân kính sợ Chúa, tin vào Chúa và vào Môsê tôi tớ Người.</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; "> </span></p>

Đức Giêsu là con người. Ngài cũng sống theo tình cảm đó. Tuy nhiên ở đây, không phải Đức Giêsu coi nhẹ tình gia đình tự nhiên, cũng không phải Ngài lãnh đạm với mẹ và anh em của Ngài. Nhưng Ngài muốn đề cao hơn mối liên hệ thiêng liêng trong niềm tin và lòng yêu mến. Bài Tin Mừng hôm nay, Đức Giêsu đã đưa ra một tiêu chuẩn để có thể trở thành những thành viên trong đại gia đình của Chúa: đó là nghe và thi hành ý Chúa.</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; "> </span></p>
