Họ trả lời: "Nguyên việc có Thánh Thần hay không, chúng tôi cũng chưa nghe nói". Ngài lại hỏi: "Vậy các ngươi đã chịu phép rửa của ai?" Họ thưa: "Phép rửa của Gioan". Phaolô liền bảo: "Gioan thanh tẩy dân chúng bằng phép rửa sám hối mà rằng: Hãy tin vào Đấng sẽ đến sau ông, tức là Đức Giêsu". Nghe vậy, họ đã chịu phép rửa nhân danh Chúa Giêsu. Và khi Phaolô đặt tay trên họ, thì Thánh Thần đến ngự xuống trên họ, họ liền nói được nhiều thứ tiếng và nói tiên tri. Này đến giờ, và đã đến rồi, các con sẽ tản mát mỗi người một ngả, bỏ mặc Thầy một mình. Nhưng Thầy không ở một mình đâu, vì có Cha hằng ở với Thầy. Thầy nói với các con những điều đó để các con được bình an trong Thầy. Giáo Hội cho ta đọc đoạn này giữa mùa Phục Sinh - mùa hồng phúc, mùa yêu thương và hy vọng. Đức Giêsu đã báo cho những môn đệ của Ngài, nhưng Kitô hữu chúng ta hôm nay sẽ phải lao đao khốn quẫn vì bóng đêm tội lỗi, vì thiếu vắng niềm tin. Sự ác lộng hành và thế gian bách hại... Chúa Giêsu đi trước chúng ta, Ngài cũng đã lãnh chịu tất cả những điều đó và người môn đệ của Ngài cũng sẽ bước theo con đường đó. Nhưng chúng ta đừng sợ vì Ngài đã chiến thắng thế gian. Ngài đã vượt qua quyền lực sự chết và bóng đêm của tội lỗi. Ngài dạy ta hãy vững lòng và tìm bình an nơi Ngài để can đảm bước lên.</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; "> </span></p>
