Nếu ai nghe lời Ta mà không tuân giữ, thì không phải chính Ta xét xử người ấy, vì Ta đã đến không phải để xét xử thế gian, nhưng là để cứu độ thế gian. Ai khinh dể Ta, và không chấp nhận lời Ta, thì đã có người xét xử: lời Ta đã nói sẽ xét xử người ấy trong ngày sau hết. Bởi vì Ta đã không tự mình nói ra, nhưng Cha là Đấng sai Ta, chính Người đã ra lệnh cho Ta phải nói gì và phải công bố gì. Và Ta biết rằng lệnh của Người là sự sống đời đời. Ánh sáng đem lại niềm vui tươi sinh động. Ở đây bài Tin Mừng muốn nói đến ánh sáng siêu nhiên, tượng trưng sự hiện diện của Thiên Chúa. Đức Giêsu chính là ánh sáng. Ai không tin vào Đức Giêsu, không giữ lời Ngài thì sống trong tối tăm bất hạnh. Đức Giêsu được sai đến không để xét xử nhưng để ban ơn cứu độ. Bởi thế, nếu khước từ Lời Ngài, là tự lên án chính mình, tự tách mình ra khỏi ánh sáng vinh quang Thiên Chúa.</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; "> </span></p>

Nhờ ánh sáng của Chúa, chúng con sẽ tìm ra con đường đem lại hạnh phúc: Đó là chúng con biết tin tưởng phó thác và sống theo sự hướng dẫn của Chúa.
