Cả hai cùng chạy, nhưng môn đệ kia chạy nhanh hơn Phêrô và đến mộ trước ông. Cúi nhìn vào, người môn đệ đó thấy tấm khăn liệm xác hãy còn, nhưng không vào. Bấy giờ Simon Phêrô theo sau cũng đến, và đi vào trong mộ, thấy khăn liệm xác còn đó, và khăn che mặt để trên phía đầu Người, không để chung với khăn liệm xác, nhưng đã cuốn riêng để vào một chỗ.</span><span style="font-size:20.0pt; "> </span></p>

Người "môn đệ Chúa yêu" đi vào, ông thấy và ông đã tin. Quả thực, Đức Giêsu đã chiến thắng sự chết để đi vào cõi sống vĩnh cửu; đã vượt ngục tội lội, hận thù để bước lên Thiên Đàng tình yêu vinh sáng. Cuộc chiến thắng của Đức Giêsu là cuộc chiến thắng của tất cả và riêng mỗi người chúng ta. Trong Ngài, chúng con sẽ chiến thắng đau khổ và sự chết. Từ nay, cuộc sống của chúng con là những chuỗi ngày đầy niềm vui. Dù ở giữa thế gian, nhưng chúng con không thuộc về thế gian nữa. Chúng con mong mõi trở về tổ ấm bên lòng Cha, quê hương đích thực và vĩnh cửu của chúng con. Chúng con cầu xin nhờ Đức Giêsu Kitô Chúa chúng con.
