Vì ngươi xét đoán kẻ khác thế nào, thì ngươi tự lên án mình như vậy: bởi lẽ ngươi cũng phạm điều ngươi lên án. Chúng ta đều biết Thiên Chúa căn cứ theo chân lý mà xét đoán những kẻ hành động như thế.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">Hỡi con người kia, ngươi xét đoán những kẻ hành động thể ấy, mà chính mình ngươi cũng làm, ngươi nghĩ rằng: ngươi thoát khỏi án phạt của Thiên Chúa được sao? Hay là ngươi khinh thị lòng nhân hậu, nhẫn nại và khoan dung của Người? Ngươi chẳng biết rằng lòng nhân lành của Thiên Chúa phải thối thúc ngươi hối cải sao?</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">Thật bởi lòng ngươi chai đá, không chịu hối cải, ngươi chỉ tích trữ cho mình cơn thịnh nộ trong ngày thịnh nộ, ngày sẽ tỏ ra thẩm phán công bình của Thiên Chúa, Ðấng sẽ trả lại cho ai nấy tuỳ theo công việc họ đã làm, vì hễ những ai bền đỗ làm lành, tìm kiếm vinh quang, danh dự và ơn bất tử, thì sẽ được sống đời đời; còn những ai ương ngạnh, không vâng phục chân lý, mà lại tin theo sự gian ác, thì sẽ gặp cơn thịnh nộ và giận dữ.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">Hễ kẻ nào làm sự dữ, thì mắc phải gian nan phiền muộn, trước là những người Do-thái, sau là những người Hy-lạp: vì Thiên Chúa không thiên tư tây vị ai cả.</span></p>

Khốn cho các ngươi, hỡi những người biệt phái! Vì các ngươi ưa thích ngồi ghế nhất trong các hội đường, và ưa thích được chào hỏi ngoài phố chợ. Khốn cho các ngươi, vì các ngươi giống những mồ mả không rõ rệt, người ta bước đi ở trên mà không hay biết!"</span></p>

Người đáp lại rằng: "Hỡi những tiến sĩ luật, khốn cho các ngươi nữa! Vì các ngươi chất lên người ta những gánh nặng không thể vác được, mà chính các ngươi dù một ngón tay cũng không động tới".</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">Ðọc đoạn Tin Mừng hôm nay, mỗi người chúng ta hãy xét lại chính mình. Có lẽ chúng ta đang sống cách của người Biệt Phái xưa. Lối sống mà Ðức Giêsu chê trách: chỉ giữ cặn kẽ những điều luật dạy một cách giả hình mà không theo tinh thần của Lề Luật là biết yêu mến Thiên Chúa và sống chân thật. Ðức Giêsu không bác bỏ việc chúng ta giữ Luật, nhưng phải giữ với lòng yêu mến chứ đừng hình thức. Ngài cũng lên án tính huênh hoang tự cao tự đại, và chỉ biết hưởng thụ còn trút tất cả những khó khăn cho người khác.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; "> </span></p>

Chỉ có điều đó mới đem lại giá trị và ý nghĩa đích thực cho cuộc sống chúng con. Còn thói giả hình chẳng những không đem lại lợi ích gì, mà còn đáng bị Chúa nguyền rủa. Xin giúp chúng con biết khôn ngoan sống theo lời dạy của Chúa. Amen.</span></p>
