<p style="margin:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">Các con thân mến, này là sự chúng ta tin tưởng nơi Chúa: là hễ chúng ta xin sự gì hợp ý Người, thì Người nhậm lời chúng ta. Và chúng ta biết Người nghe nhận mọi điều chúng ta xin, vì chúng ta biết rằng chúng ta có kêu cầu Người. Ai biết anh em mình phạm thứ tội không đưa tới sự chết, thì hãy cầu xin và Người sẽ ban sự sống cho kẻ phạm thứ tội đó. Có thứ tội đưa đến sự chết, tôi không bảo ai cầu xin cho người phạm tội ấy đâu. Mọi sự gian tà đều là tội, và có thứ tội đưa đến sự chết.</span><span style="font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; "> </span></p>
<p style="margin:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">Chúng ta biết rằng ai sinh ra bởi Thiên Chúa, thì không phạm tội, chính sự sinh ra bởi Thiên Chúa gìn giữ họ, và ma quỷ không làm gì được họ. Chúng ta biết rằng chúng ta bởi Thiên Chúa mà ra, và toàn thể thế gian đều phục luỵ ma quỷ. Và chúng ta biết rằng Con Thiên Chúa đã đến và đã ban cho chúng ta ơn thông hiểu, để chúng ta nhận biết Chúa chân thật, và được ở trong Con chân thật của Người. Chính Ngài là Thiên Chúa chân thật và là sự sống đời đời. Các con thân mến, hãy giữ mình xa các tà thần.</span><span style="font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; "> </span></p>

Người ở lại đó với họ và làm phép rửa. Cũng có Gioan làm phép rửa tại Ainon, gần Salim, vì ở đó có nhiều nước, và người ta đến để chịu rửa. Vì chưng, khi ấy Gioan chưa bị tống ngục. Xảy ra có cuộc tranh luận giữa các môn đệ của Gioan và người Do-thái về việc thanh tẩy. Họ đến cùng Gioan và nói với ông: "Thưa Thầy, người đã ở với Thầy bên kia sông Giođan, mà Thầy đã làm chứng cho, nay cũng làm phép rửa và ai nấy đều đến cùng người!" Gioan trả lời rằng: "Người ta không tiếp nhận gì mà không phải bởi trời ban cho. Chính các ngươi đã làm chứng cho tôi là tôi đã nói: Tôi không phải là Đấng Kitô, nhưng tôi được sai đến trước Người. Ai cưới vợ, thì là người chồng, còn bạn hữu của tân lang đứng mà nghe tân lang nói thì vui mừng vì tiếng nói của tân lang. Vậy niềm vui của tôi như thế là đầy đủ. Người phải lớn lên, còn tôi phải nhỏ lại".</span><span style="font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; "> </span></p>

<p style="margin:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">Hai nhóm môn đệ của Chúa Giêsu và Gioan tranh luận xem vị thầy nào cao trọng hơn? Gioan rất chân thành và sống đúng vai trò của mình. Vì là tiền hô của Đấng Cứu Thế, nên ông có nhiều uy tín. Tuy nhiên không vì thế khiến ông bị mờ tối, tham vọng, ảo tưởng về chính mình. Ông đã khẳng định rõ ràng: "Chẳng ai có thể nhận được gì mà không do trời ban".</span><span style="font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; "> </span></p>
<p style="margin:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">Trước những tài năng hơn người, tôi thường có suy nghĩ gì? Hồng ân lãnh nhận, tôi đã sử dụng ra sao?</span><span style="font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; "> </span></p>

<p style="margin:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">Lạy Chúa Giêsu, tự bản thân mỗi người chúng con, chúng con chẳng có gì. Tất cả đều là hồng ân. Hồng ân nối tiếp hồng ân. Vâng, chính vì thế, khi chúng con càng lãnh nhận nhiều, chúng con càng mắc nợ nhiều và chúng con càng phải đền trả nhiều.</span><span style="font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; "> </span></p>
<p style="margin:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">Xin Chúa giúp chúng con biết giữ gìn hồng ân của Chúa, biết sử dụng hồng ân ấy cho đúng nghĩa. Xin cho chúng con biết qui hướng tất cả cho vinh danh Chúa. Amen.</span></p></td>
