Vậy Môsê ghi lại tất cả những lời của Chúa. Và sáng sớm, ông chỗi dậy, lập bàn thờ ở chân núi, dựng mười hai cột trụ, chỉ mười hai chi họ Israel, ông sai các thanh niên trong con cái Israel mang của lễ toàn thiêu và hiến dâng lên Chúa những con bò tơ làm hy lễ giao hoà. Môsê lấy phân nửa máu đổ vào các chậu và rưới phân nửa kia lên bàn thờ. Ông mở quyển giao ước ra đọc cho dân nghe và họ thưa: "Chúng tôi xin thi hành và tuân theo tất cả những điều Chúa đã phán". Vậy ông lấy máu rẩy lên dân chúng và nói: "Ðây là máu giao ước Thiên Chúa đã cam kết với các ngươi theo đúng tất cả những lời đó".</span></p>

Người đi qua nhà tạm rộng rãi và hoàn hảo hơn, không phải do tay người phàm xây dựng, nghĩa là không thuộc về trần gian này, cũng không nhờ máu dê bò, nhưng nhờ chính máu của Người mà vào Cung Thánh chỉ một lần và đem lại ơn cứu độ muôn đời. Vì nếu máu dê và tro bò mà người ta rảy trên kẻ ô uế còn thánh hoá được thân xác nên trong sạch, huống chi máu của Ðức Kitô, Ðấng đã nhờ Thánh Thần mà hiến tế chính mình làm của lễ trong sạch dâng lên Thiên Chúa; máu đó sẽ tẩy sạch lương tâm chúng ta khỏi những việc sinh sự chết, khiến chúng ta có thể phụng sự Thiên Chúa hằng sống. Vì vậy Chúa Kitô là trung gian của Tân Ước, vì nhờ sự chết của Người để cứu chuộc tội phạm dưới thời Cựu Ước, mà những kẻ được kêu gọi, đến lãnh lấy gia nghiệp đời đời đã hứa cho họ.</span></p>

Ðó là bánh mà trên bàn tiệc thánh, cho đoàn thể mười hai người anh em, Chúa đã ban tặng chẳng khá nghi ngờ.</span></p>

Hãy xướng lên lời ca khen ngợi đầy đủ, lời ca hoan hỉ và râm ran, tâm thần hãy vui mừng rạng rỡ!</span></p>

Vì đây là ngày trọng thể, ngày kỷ niệm bàn tiệc thánh / lần đầu tiên được thiết lập ra.</span></p>

Tại bàn tiệc này của Ðấng Tân Vương, lễ Vượt Qua mới theo luật pháp mới / chấm dứt lễ Vượt Qua của thời đại cũ.</span></p>

Lễ nghi cũ nhường chỗ cho sự thực; đêm tối tăm nhường chỗ cho sự sáng sủa.</span></p>

Ðiều mà Chúa Kitô đã làm trong bữa tiệc ly, thì Người đã ra lệnh cho thực thi điều đó để nhớ lại Người.</span></p>

Nhờ lời thánh huấn của Người dạy bảo, chúng ta làm phép cho bánh và rượu / trở nên lễ vật hy sinh ban ơn cứu độ.</span></p>

Ðây là tín điều dạy người Kitô hữu rằng / bánh trở nên thịt Chúa, và rượu trở nên máu Người.</span></p>

Ðiều bạn không hiểu, không xem thấy, thì đức tin mạnh mẽ xác nhận xảy ra, ngoài luật lệ thiên nhiên.</span></p>

Dưới những hình sắc khác nhau, chúng chỉ là biểu hiệu, không còn thực chất, có ẩn nấp những thực tại cao siêu.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:12.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;text-indent:15.0pt;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">14. Thịt Chúa là của ăn, máu Người là thức uống, nhưng Chúa Kitô vẫn còn đầy đủ dưới mỗi sắc hình.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:12.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;text-indent:15.0pt;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">15. Người không bị kẻ lãnh nhận nghiền nát, không bị bẻ gẫy, không bị phân chia, nhưng Người được thiên hạ lãnh nhận toàn thân.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:12.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;text-indent:15.0pt;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">16. Một người lãnh nhận, ngàn người lãnh nhận, những người này cũng lãnh bằng những người kia, thiên hạ ăn thịt Người mà Người không bị tiêu hao.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:12.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;text-indent:15.0pt;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">17. Người lương thiện lãnh, kẻ ác nhân cũng lãnh, nhưng số phận họ không đồng đều: hoặc được sống hay là phải chết.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:12.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;text-indent:15.0pt;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">18. Kẻ ác nhân phải chết, người lương thiện được sống; hãy coi, cùng một của ăn như nhau, mà kết quả khác xa biết mấy.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:12.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;text-indent:15.0pt;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">19. Hình bánh bị vỡ, chớ khá lo âu, nhưng hãy nhớ rằng / trong miếng vỡ cũng như trong toàn thể / Chúa vẫn hiện diện đầy đủ như nhau.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:12.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;text-indent:15.0pt;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">20. Bản chất không hề bị bẻ vỡ, duy có biểu hiệu bị phân chia, nhưng không giảm thiểu tình trạng và dáng vóc của Ðấng ẩn dật bên trong.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:12.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;text-indent:15.0pt;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">21. Này đây bánh của các thiên thần, biến thành lương thực của khách hành hương; thực là bánh của những người con cái, không nên ném cho loài khuyển.</span></p>

Người liền sai hai môn đệ đi và dặn rằng: "Các con hãy vào thành, và nếu gặp một người mang vò nước thì hãy đi theo người đó. Hễ người ấy vào nhà nào thì các con hãy nói với chủ nhà rằng: Thầy sai chúng tôi hỏi: 'Căn phòng Ta sẽ ăn Lễ Vượt Qua với các môn đệ ở đâu?' Và chủ nhà sẽ chỉ cho các con một căn phòng rộng rãi dọn sẵn sàng và các con hãy sửa soạn cho chúng ta ở đó". Hai môn đệ đi vào thành và thấy mọi sự như Người đã bảo và hai ông dọn Lễ Vượt Qua.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:12.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;text-indent:15.0pt;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">Ðang khi họ ăn, Chúa Giêsu cầm lấy bánh, đọc lời chúc tụng, bẻ ra và trao cho các ông mà phán: "Các con hãy cầm lấy, này là Mình Ta". Rồi Người cầm lấy chén, tạ ơn, trao cho các ông và mọi người đều uống. Và Người bảo các ông: "Này là Máu Ta, Máu tân ước sẽ đổ ra cho nhiều người. Ta bảo thật các con: Ta sẽ chẳng còn uống rượu nho này nữa cho đến ngày Ta sẽ uống rượu mới trong nước Thiên Chúa". Sau khi hát Thánh Vịnh, Thầy trò đi lên núi Cây Dầu.</span></p>

Một cuộc sống mau qua đời này cho chúng ta: mà còn dành cho chúng ta một nguồn ân sủng vô tận đặc biệt nhất, chính là Mình Máu Ngài làm lương thực nuôi linh hồn ta. Ngài đã yêu và yêu đến cùng. Người Do thái không hiểu Ngài, cũng không hiểu được Lời Ngài vì thế đưa đến mâu thuẫn. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">Lễ trọng thể Mình và Máu Thánh Chúa được liên kết chặt chẽ với lễ Phục Sinh và lễ Hiện Xuống: Sự chết và phục sinh của Chúa Giêsu và sự trào tràn của Chúa Thánh Thần là những giả định trước cho lễ Mình và Máu Thánh Chúa. Ngoài ra, nó cũng liên kết ngay với lễ Chúa Ba Ngôi. Chính chỉ vì Thiên Chúa là sự tương quan nên mới có thể có ở đây một sự liên hệ; và cũng chỉ vì Người là tình yêu mà Người có thể yêu và được yêu. Như vậy, lễ Mình và Máu Thánh Chúa là một biểu hiện của Thiên Chúa, một bằng chứng rằng Thiên Chúa là tình yêu. Ngày lễ này nói với chúng ta về tình yêu của Thiên Chúa một cách độc nhất và đặc biệt, về nhũng gì Người là, và những gì Người làm. Ví dụ, người ta nói rằng Thiên Chúa được tái tạo bằng cách tự hiến, rằng Người được đón nhận bằng cách cho đi, rằng Người không thể bị thiếu hụt, rằng Người không bị tiêu hao đi như bài vịnh ca của thánh Tôma Aquinô đã hát lên điều đó. Tình yêu biến đổi mọi sự, và người ta hiểu rằng, ở trung tâm ngày lễ Mình và Máu Thánh chúa, có mầu nhiệm của việc biến đổi thể chất, dấu hiệu của Chúa Giêsu Kitô, vốn biến đổi thế giới. Khi nhìn lên Người, để thờ lạy- chúng ta nói: "Vâng, tình yêu hiện hữu, và vì hiện hữu, nên mọi sự đều có thể đổi thay, nên tốt hơn, và chúng ta có thể hy vọng"</span></p>
