Anh em hãy lớn lên trong ân sủng và trong sự hiểu biết Đức Giêsu Kitô, Đấng Cứu Rỗi và là Chúa chúng ta. Nguyện (chúc) vinh quang cho Người bây giờ và đến muôn đời. <p style="margin:0cm;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-size:18.0pt; color:#0033CC; ">Khi ấy, người ta sai mấy người thuộc nhóm biệt phái và đảng Hêrôđê đến Chúa Giêsu để lập mưu bắt lỗi Người trong lời nói. Họ đến thưa Người rằng: "Thưa Thầy, chúng tôi biết Thầy là người chân thật không vị nể ai, vì Thầy chẳng xem diện mạo, một giảng dạy đường lối Thiên Chúa cách rất ngay thẳng. Vậy chúng tôi có nên nộp thuế cho Cêsarê không? Chúng tôi phải nộp hay là không?" Nhưng Người biết họ giả hình, nên bảo rằng: "Sao các ông lại thử Ta? Hãy đưa Ta xem một đồng tiền". Họ đưa cho Người một đồng tiền và Người hỏi: "Hình và ký hiệu này là của ai?" Họ thưa: "Của Cêsarê". Người liền bảo họ: "Vậy thì của Cêsarê, hãy trả cho Cêsarê; của Thiên Chúa, hãy trả cho Thiên Chúa". Và họ rất đỗi kinh ngạc về Người.</span><span style="font-size:18.0pt; color:#0033CC; "> </span></p>

<p style="margin:0cm;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-size:18.0pt; color:#0033CC; ">Đức Giêsu trả lời nhóm Biệt Phái "Của Xêda trả cho Xêda, của Thiên Chúa trả cho Thiên Chúa". Nghĩa là trả lại cho ai những gì thuộc về người đó. Tuy nhiên mọi quyền bính chân chính đều bắt nguồn từ Thiên Chúa. Vì thế, nộp thuế hợp lý thì phải nộp, vì thuế cần để xây dựng đất nước, Nhưng chỉ được thờ phượng một Thiên Chúa mà thôi. Quyền tối thượng chỉ thuộc về Thiên Chúa, đòi người ta phải tuân phục và thờ lạy thuộc về Thiên Chúa, đòi người ta phải tuân phục và thờ lạy Người. Còn quyền Chúa trao cho con người là chỉ để phục vụ quyền lợi chính đáng của xã hội, dân tộc... theo chỉ thị của Thiên Chúa, chứ không được phép vi phạm quyền lợi của Thiên Chúa để phục vụ bất cứ ai khác.</span><span style="font-size:18.0pt; color:#0033CC; "> </span></p>

<p style="margin:0cm;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-size:18.0pt; color:#0033CC; ">Lạy Chúa, mọi quyền bính trần gian đều bắt nguồn từ quyền bính của Thiên Chúa. Là người công dân, chúng con có nhiệm vụ phải vâng phục thế quyền để xây dựng đất nước, phục vụ và đóng góp cho xã hội, cho cộng đồng nơi trần gian. Là con của Nước Trời, chúng con cũng có nhiệm vụ phải vâng phục Thiên Chúa. Chúng con phải sống thế nào để thể hiện vai trò và trách nhiệm đối với Chúa, đối với Giáo Hội.
