<p style="margin:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">Sau ba tháng, chúng tôi lên đi trên chiếc tàu Alexandria, tàu này có hiệu là Dioscuri, đã trú tại đảo (Mêlita) trong mùa đông qua. Khi đến thành Syracusa, chúng tôi lưu lại đó ba ngày. Rồi từ đó, chúng tôi đi dọc theo bờ biển mà đến Rêgiô. Ngày hôm sau, nhờ có gió nam nên hai ngày sau chúng tôi đến Putêôlô. Tại đó, chúng tôi có gặp được anh em, họ mời chúng tôi ở lại với họ bảy ngày, và thế là chúng tôi đã trẩy đi Rôma.</span></p>
<p style="margin:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">Khi các anh em ở Rôma nghe tin chúng tôi đến, họ ra đón rước chúng tôi tận chợ Appiô và tại Tam Quán. Khi Phaolô trông thấy họ, liền tạ ơn Thiên Chúa và được lòng trông cậy vững vàng. Khi chúng tôi đến Rôma, Phaolô được phép ở nhà riêng với người lính canh.</span></p>
<p style="margin:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:200%;"><span style="font-size:20.0pt; color:#002060; ">Suốt hai năm, ngài trú tại ngôi nhà đã thuê, tiếp nhận tất cả những ai đến gặp ngài, ngài rao giảng nước Thiên Chúa và dạy dỗ những điều về Chúa Giêsu Kitô một cách dạn dĩ, không có ai ngăn cấm.</span></p>

Giải tán họ xong, Người lên núi cầu nguyện một mình. Ðến chiều, Người vẫn ở đó một mình. Còn thuyền thì đã ra giữa biển, bị sóng đánh chập chờn vì ngược gió. Canh tư đêm tối, Người đi trên biển, các ông hoảng hồn mà nói rằng: "Ma kìa!" và các ông sợ hãi kêu la lớn tiếng. Lập tức, Chúa Giêsu nói với các ông rằng: "Hãy yên tâm. Thầy đây, đừng sợ!" Phêrô thưa lại rằng: "Lạy Thầy, nếu quả là Thầy, thì xin truyền cho con đi trên mặt nước mà đến cùng Thầy". Chúa phán: "Hãy đến!" Khi thấy gió mạnh, ông sợ hãi và sắp chìm xuống nên la lên rằng: "Lạy Thầy, xin cứu con!" Lập tức, Chúa Giêsu giơ tay nắm lấy ông mà nói: "Người hèn tin, tại sao lại nghi ngờ?" Khi cả hai đã lên thuyền thì gió liền yên lặng. Những người ở trong thuyền đến lạy Người mà rằng: "Thật, Thầy là Con Thiên Chúa".</span></p>
