Rồi Người giơ tay chỉ các môn đệ mà nói: "Đây là mẹ Ta và là anh em Ta, vì hễ ai làm theo ý Cha Ta trên trời, thì người ấy là anh em, chị em và là mẹ Ta vậy".</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;line-height:200%;background:white;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:#0033CC; background:white; ">Truyền thống để lại cho chúng ta giai đoạn đầu tiên của cuộc đời Đức Nữ Trinh, đó là giai đoạn Người dâng mình vào Đền Thánh để hiến mình cho Thiên Chúa và hoàn toàn thuộc về Người. Đức Maria, được lòng nhân từ của Chúa Cha bao phủ, đã chỉ có thể trình diện Người bằng cách tận hiến hoàn toàn linh hồn và xác cho Người. Đây là tất cả mầu nhiệm sự trinh khiết được thánh hiến, trong ý nghĩa mạnh nhất, sâu sắc nhất của sự thánh hiến toàn thân cho Thiên Chúa, thánh hiến cho việc phục vụ Người, bằng cách tự dâng hiến và cho đi trọn vẹn cho Người.</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:#0033CC; "> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;line-height:200%;background:white;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:#0033CC; background:white; ">Vậy cử chỉ thánh hiến này, với ý nghĩa mạnh nhất về sự thánh hiến tâm hồn khiết trinh của Mẹ, là điều bình thường để nói lên sự hợp tác trước tiên và lời đáp trả trước tiên của Mẹ cho Thiên Chúa, mà truyền thống đã giữ lại cho chúng ta về Mẹ Maria. Mẹ đã hớn hở vui mừng đáp lại Thiên Chúa; không có gì vui mừng hơn là diễn tả cách linh thiêng và sống với lòng thương xót của Chúa, và cũng không gì vui mừng bằng mình được tình thương của Chúa "bắt cóc" như người cha chiếm đứa con bé nhỏ của Người để đưa nó giấu đi cách đặc biệt trong mầu nhiệm của Người.</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman',serif; font-size:18.0pt; color:#0033CC; "> </span></p>
