Tết Nguyên Đán là một trường hợp cụ thể. Tết vừa là một tập tục văn hoá
đậm nét truyền thống dân tộc, vừa là một sinh hoạt xã hội quan trọng,
với những nét đẹp riêng, ai cũng trải nghiệm và gia đình nào cũng từng
hưởng. Những sinh hoạt này, nếu được vận dụng sẽ là một cơ hội để giới
thiệu tinh thần Kitô-giáo, đem Tin Mừng cho anh em lương dân trong những
ngày đầu Xuân. </span></font></p>

Dịp Tết, do quá bận rộn với bao nhiêu chuyện lớn nhỏ trong nhà ngoài
đường, từ xã giao hiếu hỉ đến đền ơn đáp nghĩa, lo cho người sống, nhớ
tới người khuất, từ giao tế xã hội tới lễ nghi nhà thờ… nên xưa nay
chúng ta ít quan tâm vận dụng những sinh hoạt ngày Tết thành hoạt động
truyền giáo (Quên thì nhiều, nhớ thì… chẳng một lần !).</span></font></p>

Thăm viếng luôn là một công tác quan trọng và cần thiết trong việc loan
báo Tin Mừng. Vậy nên vào dịp Tết, cần ưu tiên thăm viếng các đối tượng
lương dân hay tôn giáo bạn. Thăm viếng nhau ngày Tết không chỉ là việc
giao tế, mà còn là “mũi dùi” truyền giáo, là cơ hội tốt để tiếp cận và
tạo tình thân với anh em lương dân.</span></font></p>

Giáo xứ có thể tổ chức và phân công nhiều nhóm đến thăm viếng các đối
tượng lương dân, như những ân nhân và thân hữu trong năm đã giúp đỡ hoặc
có những liên lạc thường xuyên với giáo xứ, chánh quyền địa phương, ban
giám hiệu các trường học trong địa bàn giáo xứ, những người già yếu neo
đơn nghèo khổ, anh em di dân… Đây không chỉ là một hoạt động bác ái, mà
còn là một công tác truyền giáo đáng kể trong dịp Tết.</span></font></p>

Có thể nói, Tết là dịp đáng mừng khi anh em lương dân mở lòng hướng về
Trời-Đất linh thiêng, với ước vọng tìm được sự hộ phù và mong hưởng được
an lành hơn trong năm mới; là dịp nói cho họ biết Thiên Chúa là Đấng
toàn năng, yêu thương mọi người, phù trợ ai kêu khấn..., là điều rất hợp
với khát mong của họ. Và qua đó, họ cũng nhận ra người Công giáo thật
gần gũi và thân thiết, vì cùng chung một khát vọng hạnh phúc như họ khi
bước vào năm mới.</span></font></p>

Như thế, không quá khó để mời một lương dân đến nhà thờ kêu cầu Ơn Trên,
trông tìm một Thiên Chúa là Chủ Tể quyền năng và là một người Cha nhân
hậu… Lời mời đó chính là công tác loan báo Tin mừng rất đúng lúc và khả
thi, khi đến thăm viếng họ những ngày trước Tết. </span></font></p>

Nghi thức Mừng Tuổi Chúa, vừa trang trọng và linh thiêng, vừa vui tươi
và ý nghĩa, thêm bầu khí sốt sắng và đồng tâm hiệp nguyện của cộng đoàn
trong nhà Chúa, chắc sẽ làm bất cứ người lương nào có dịp tham dự nghi
thức, dễ nâng lòng hướng thượng và chung tâm tình “Thờ Trời khấn Chúa”.
Ấn tượng sâu sắc đó sẽ là bước khởi đầu giúp họ tìm đến Chúa. Đó là cách
truyền giáo bằng lễ nghi Công giáo dịp Tết.</span></font></p>

đó cho thấy công tác truyền giáo dịp Tết càng chính đáng và thiết yếu

mỗi gia đình mang theo di ảnh của Tiên nhân khi đi lễ nhà thờ, để cộng

nhang… Mọi người khi đi lễ, sẽ lắng đọng tâm tư và ghi ý cầu nguyện lên
giấy (nhà thờ có thể in sẵn một vài mẫu ý nguyện), rồi thắp nhang và cắm
vào lư như gởi gắm lời cầu lên Chúa, đồng thời cũng hiệp ý cầu nguyện
với nhau và cho nhau. Lúc dâng lễ, có thể mang lư hương lên trước bàn

Một nghi thức thấm đượm lòng kính tôn thảo hiếu, đó là việc mừng thọ các
vị cao niên (> 75 tuổi). Giáo dân nên hãnh diện và ra sức thuyết phục
anh em lương dân đưa cả song thân, là các cụ ông cụ bà cao niên đến nhà
thờ để làm Lễ Chúc Thọ. Đây sẽ là một nghĩa cử đầy ấn tượng : Ai cũng
vui khi cha mẹ mình trường thọ, nay lại được nhà thờ và cả cộng đoàn
“bên Đạo” nghênh đón, kính trọng chúc thọ dịp đầu năm. Và dĩ nhiên, đó
sẽ là cơ hội kết tình thân hữu lương-giáo sâu đậm hơn.</span></font></p>

Những hoạt động dành cho người di dân lương-giáo như thế không nhiều,
nhưng cũng là một cơ hội truyền giáo rất tốt. Được quan tâm, được khích
lệ, được bao bọc trong bầu khí gia đình thiêng liêng, được an ủi trong
một Giáo hội rộng mở như thế, chắc chắn sẽ làm cho anh em lương dân xa
quê suy nghĩ và biết đâu đấy chính là con đường đưa dẫn họ tới với Chúa

nhiều anh em lương dân thân hữu hoặc quen biết, với thái độ nồng nhiệt
tiếp đón, thậm chí lôi kéo. Linh mục phải giải thích đây là một công tác
truyền giáo đầy ý nghĩa, cần giáo dân cộng tác mới thực hiện được, làm

Ngày Tết, mọi người đều có khát vọng tâm linh, hướng về Trời-Đất khấn
xin một tương lai tươi sáng, ước nguyện những may lành phú túc trong năm
mới. Khát vọng mở đường để khơi gợi niềm tin tôn giáo nơi anh em lương
dân. Nên một chương trình truyền giáo dịp Tết “trên thuận ý Trời, dưới

Sinh hoạt truyền giáo dịp Tết cũng mới lạ, nhưng rất thuận lợi và đúng
lúc. Nếu được các nơi quan tâm và thực hiện hằng năm, việc truyền giáo
thiết thực này hứa hẹn một hoạt động mới mẻ trong công tác loan báo Tin
Mừng của Giáo hội Việt Nam, lại tô thêm ý nghĩa cho ngày Tết cổ truyền

Như các việc truyền giáo khác, chương trình truyền giáo dịp Tết cũng cần
quyết tâm và dấn thân của các chủ chăn, là những nhà thiết kế, những
“lập trình viên” của việc loan báo Tin Mừng ; đồng thời, cần đến nỗ lực
của mỗi giáo dân với ý thức rằng : ngày Tết không thể thiếu mặt anh em

Sau cùng, thực trạng xưa nay, Tết nào Chúa cũng thấy những gương mặt quá
quen, hằng năm và mỗi tuần vẫn “bấy nhiêu đó”. Trong Tết này, nếu có anh
em lương dân, chắc là Chúa phải ngạc nhiên và vui thích lắm, tựa như cha
mẹ hạnh phúc khi đông đủ cháu con sum họp ngày Tết. Do đó, “TẾT CÓ ANH
EM LƯƠNG DÂN” mới vui và… thật là chính đáng !</span></font></span></p>
