TGPSG-- Đêm giao thừa là thời khắc chuyển giao giữa năm cũ
và năm mới (năm Tân Sửu). Người Công giáo Việt Nam vừa có chung
niềm vui với truyền thống dân tộc như: rộn ràng đi chợ mua cây
đào, cây mai, dọn dẹp nhà cửa, lau bàn thờ...nhưng vừa có nét
riêng, độc đáo, giàu ý nghĩa, đó là chuẩn bị tâm hồn, dọn mình
xưng tội, làm nhiều việc bác ái như thăm hỏi, tặng quà cho người
nghèo khó, người khuyết tật… các xứ đạo thường tổ chức gói bánh
chưng và chung tay chia sẻ quà tết cho người neo đơn..v.v.</span></p>

Hằng năm, vào đêm 30 Tết, các nhà thờ đều cử hành Thánh lễ đón
Giao thừa với bầu khí thiêng liêng và đậm nét văn hóa cổ truyền.
Nhưng năm nay - năm 2021 - do tình hình dịch Covid-19 trong bối
cảnh TP.HCM đã có hơn 30 ca bệnh, nên ngày 9.2, Tòa Tổng Giám
mục Tổng giáo phận TP.HCM đã ra thông báo về việc hạn chế sinh
hoạt mục vụ nhằm cộng tác tích cực với chính quyền TP.HCM trong
việc phòng dịch, đảm bảo an toàn sức khỏe cho cộng đồng và tuân
thủ nguyên tắc 5K của Bộ Y tế, bao gồm: Khẩu trang - Khử khuẩn -

Vì thế, đêm Giao thừa năm nay, các Thánh lễ tại các nhà Thờ được
tổ chức không quá 20 người. Mọi người được mời gọi tham dự Thánh
lễ trực tuyến. Riêng giáo xứ Hà Đông, nằm trên đường Thống Nhất,
Gò Vấp không có Thánh lễ. Theo sự hướng dẫn của linh mục Chánh
xứ - Gioan Baotixita Vũ Mạnh Hùng - tuy không có Thánh lễ nhưng
các đèn nhà thờ vẫn được thắp sáng cho mọi người đi ngang qua
nhớ tới Chúa. Tại Đài Lòng Chúa Thương Xót của giáo xứ, thỉnh
thoảng có đôi ba người đến cầu nguyện để dâng lên Thiên Chúa
những ước nguyện của mình.</span></p>

Tại nhà thờ Tân Định (tọa lạc trên đường Hai Bà Trưng), khuôn
viên nhà thờ được trang trí rất lộng lẫy, rực rỡ sắc màu. Cứ vài
phút lại có một số người đứng trước cửa nhà thờ đọc kinh. Bên
kia đường, 2-3 tốp người khuyết tật và người có hoàn cảnh khó
khăn, theo lời kể thì năm nào cũng vậy họ tụ tập lại nơi này để
chờ đợi bà con Giáo dân đi lễ về và chia sẻ cho họ những phong
bao lì xì ngày xuân.</span></p>
