chắc hẳn cũng sẵn sàng ban ơn cho chúng ta. Vậy hôm nay chúng ta nên xin

Một người kia cứ xin Chúa ban ơn hoài. Chúa nghe mãi đến nỗi phải mệt.
Vậy để giải quyết anh này, Chúa nói : <i style="box-sizing: border-box">"Bây
giờ Ta quyết định ban cho con bất kỳ 3 điều nào mà con xin. Sau đó thì
thôi Ta không ban ơn gì nữa cả".</i> Anh rất vui sướng và xin ngay: <i style="box-sizing: border-box">"Xin
cho vợ con chết để con cưới một người vợ khác tốt hơn". </i>Chúa nhậm
lời, vợ anh chết. Nhưng khi bà con và bạn bè đến lo chôn cất vợ anh, họ
nhắc lại những phẩm chất tốt của chị, khi đó anh mới tiếc và biết rằng
mình đã quá hấp tấp khi xài lời xin thứ nhất. Anh đành phải xài thêm
lời xin thứ hai: <i style="box-sizing: border-box">“Xin cho vợ con sống
lại”.</i> Chúa cũng nhậm lời. Thế là anh chỉ còn có một lời xin thôi.

Tóm lại, muốn xin cái gì thì thoạt đầu thấy cái đó là tốt nhưng suy nghĩ
lại thì thấy nó cũng chưa phải là tốt nhất. Anh chàng bối rối quá, chạy
tới nói với Chúa <i style="box-sizing: border-box">"Xin Chúa dạy con
biết phải làm gì bây giờ?".</i> Chỉ vì bối rối quá nên anh mới nói với
Chúa vậy thôi chứ anh nào ngờ đây là lời xin thứ ba và cũng là lời xin
cuối cùng. Từ nay anh không còn được quyền xin gì nữa cả. Anh tiếc quá
sức, gãi đầu gãi cổ và tự trách mình. Nhưng khi đó xảy ra một điều bất
ngờ, bất ngờ hơn cả sự bất ngờ của anh khi thốt lên lời xin thứ ba. Sự
bất ngờ này là Chúa mỉm cười hài lòng. Chúa nói: <i style="box-sizing: border-box">“Con
thật là khôn ngoan khi xin như vậy. Từ nay Ta sẽ chỉ cho con biết phải
làm gì. Con chỉ việc nghe theo lời Ta chỉ dạy, và đời con sẽ được hạnh

Chắc là có người không tin. Vậy chúng ta hãy lý luận một chút. Những

chị em mong muốn gì nơi con cái mình? Phải chăng chỉ mong muốn một điều
duy nhất là nó biết nghe theo lời dạy bảo của mình. Nếu chúng ta có một
đứa con thông minh, làm được rất nhiều việc nhưng luôn cãi cha cãi mẹ,
thì chắc chúng ta không vui vẻ gì. Trái lại một đứa con ít thông mình,
ít tài nhưng ngoan ngoãn, chịu khó làm theo lời mình dạy bảo thì một mặt
nó làm vui lòng mình và mặt khác đời nó cũng thành đạt, bởi vì thực ra
tất cả những gì mình chỉ dạy nó đều là để cho nó được tốt mà thôi, nếu

Thiên Chúa cũng thế. Khác một điều vì chúng ta là người phàm nên có
nhiều điều chúng ta muốn lo cho con cái nhưng lo không nổi, một số điều
ta dạy bảo chúng cũng chưa hẳn là hay nhất, tốt nhất. Phần Chúa thì toàn
năng quyền phép vô cùng Chúa muốn lo cho chúng ta điều gì là Ngài thừa
sức lo được. Ngài thông minh vô cùng nên Ngài dạy ta điều gì thì chắc
