Mađalêna (ngày 22 tháng Bảy) thành “lễ kính”, Đức Thánh Cha Phanxicô đã nhìn
nhận tầm quan trọng của Thánh nữ như là “Tông đồ của các Tông đồ”.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Trong lịch phụng vụ Giáo hội hiện nay, các Thánh được
mừng theo ba bậc lễ: lễ nhớ (buộc hay tự do), lễ kính, hay lễ trọng. Từ nay
lễ Thánh Maria Mađalêna sẽ có cùng bậc lễ với Lễ của các Thánh Tông đồ.</font></p>

trong Sắc lệnh ký ngày 03 tháng Sáu 2016, nhằm ngày Lễ trọng Thánh Tâm Chúa
Giêsu-, Đức Tổng giám mục Arthur Roche, Thư ký Bộ Phụng tự thánh và Kỷ luật
các Bí tích, viết: quyết định trên đây muốn nói rằng chúng ta “phải suy tư
sâu xa hơn về phẩm giá của phụ nữ, về Tân Phúc âm hoá, và về sự cao cả của
mầu nhiệm Lòng Chúa thương xót”.</font></p>
