cảnh khó khăn hằng ngày, trong một đất nước mà 95% là người Hồi giáo; tuy
nhiên Giáo hội ấy “rất nhiệt thành trong ơn gọi linh mục và tu sĩ, đó là dấu chỉ
được Thiên Chúa chúc phúc, một Thiên Chúa luôn gần gũi với dân Người”, cha Inayat
Bernard, Giám đốc Tiểu chủng viện Santa Maria ở Lahore, nhấn mạnh điều đó.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Chủng viện của cha Bernard hiện có 26 tiểu chủng sinh, và những
con số về ơn gọi tại Giáo hội Pakistan thật ấn tượng: từ đầu năm 2015 đến
nay có 23 tân linh mục (giáo phận và dòng tu) và 15 tân phó tế sẽ được phong chức linh
mục trong năm nay.Trong khi đó, có 79 đại chủng sinh đang học tại Học viện Thần
học Quốc gia Karachi, và 96 đại chủng sinh học tại Đại chủng viện Thánh
Phanxicô Xaviê ở Lahore. Cha Bernard nhận định: “Những con số này dự báo một
tương lai tươi sáng cho Giáo hội Công giáo ở Pakistan. Cha nói thêm: “Và
cũng đừng quên rằng còn nhiều ơn gọi trong các dòng tu nữ: một dấu chỉ của niềm hy
vọng, mang lại sự tin tưởng và lòng can trường, ngay cả trong những lúc khó

tình hình xã hội-chính trị phức tạp ở Pakistan, nhiều lúc bị phân biệt đối
xử hay là nạn nhân của bạo lực, chẳng hạn như cuộc tấn công diễn ra vào dịp lễ
Phục sinh vừa qua ở Lahore, trong khi nạnkhủng bố nhắm vào các mục tiêu tôn
giáo, dân sự và quân sự một cách bừa bãi. Nhưng những khó khăn này “không
ảnh hưởng đến sự tự do và niềm tin của dân chúng, mà còn khiến cho niềm tin
ấy thêm mạnh mẽ, và hôm nay chúng tôi được hưởng nhữnghoa trái của nó”.</font></p>
