nên những chứng nhân của Đức Giêsu ngay giữa những bách hại. Có những bách
hại lớn đòi chúng ta phải hy sinh mạng sống mình, nhưng cũng có những bách
hại nho nhỏ là những lời đàm tiếu, phê bình và chỉ trích. Đây là nội dung
bài giảng của Đức Thánh Cha Phanxicô trong thánh lễ sáng thứ Hai, 02.05, tại
nguyện đường Thánh Marta.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Chúng ta đã đến gần Lễ Ngũ Tuần và các bài đọc trình bày
cho chúng ta nhiều hơn về Chúa Thánh Thần. Sách Công vụ Tông Đồ thuật lại
rằng có một bà tên là Ly-đi-a, quê ở Thy-a-ti-ra, chuyên buôn bán vải điều.
Thiên Chúa đã mở lòng cho bà để bà chú ý đến những lời ông Phao-lô nói.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Người phụ nữ này đã cảm nhận được điều gì đó trong tâm
hồn khiến bà cất tiếng nói: ‘Điều này thật đúng đắn! tôi đồng ý với những gì
mà người ấy (Thánh Phao-lô) nói. Ông ấy đã làm chứng về Đức Giêsu Phục Sinh.
Và những lời ông nói đều chân thật.’ Nhưng ai đã đụng chạm lay động trái tim
của người phụ nữ này? Ai đã nói với bà: ‘Hãy lắng nghe, vì đó là sự thật’?
Chính Chúa Thánh Thần đã làm cho người phụ nữ này nhận ra Đức Giêsu là Thiên
Chúa; giúp bà khám phá ra ơn cứu độ ngang qua những lời mà Thánh Phao-lô rao
giảng; và giúp bà lắng nghe được những lời chứng ấy. Chúa Thánh Thần đã làm
chứng về Đức Giêsu. Mỗi lần chúng ta cảm thấy có điều gì kéo chúng ta lại
gần với Giêsu, thì đó chính là Chúa Thánh Thần đang làm việc trong tâm hồn
chúng ta.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Tin Mừng nói về một chứng tá kép: một là của Chúa Thánh
Thần, Đấng làm chứng về Đức Giêsu; và hai là chính những lời chứng của chúng
ta. Chúng ta là những chứng nhân của Thiên Chúa với sức mạnh của Thánh Thần.
Đức Giêsu mời gọi các môn đệ đừng để mình bị vấp ngã, vì làm chứng sẽ dẫn
đến những bách hại. Từ những bách hại nho nhỏ của những lời dèm pha, chỉ
trích đến những bách hại lớn - đã xảy ra nhiều trong lịch sử Giáo Hội -
khiến các Kitô hữu phải chịu cách lao tù hay thậm chí phải hy sinh cả mạng
sống của mình.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Đó chính là cái giá của việc làm chứng cho Đức Giêsu: ‘Họ
sẽ khai trừ anh em khỏi hội đường. Hơn nữa, sẽ đến giờ kẻ nào giết anh em
cũng tưởng mình phụng thờ Thiên Chúa.’ Kitô hữu, với sức mạnh của Thần Khí,
can đảm làm chứng rằng Đức Giêsu vẫn sống, Ngài đã phục sinh và luôn ở giữa
chúng ta. Đức Giêsu sẽ cùng với chúng ta cử hành việc Ngài chịu chết và phục
sinh mỗi khi chúng ta quây quần với nhau bên cạnh bàn thờ. Với sự giúp sức
của Thần Khí, các Kitô hữu biết làm chứng tá cho Chúa ngay cả trong cuộc
sống thường ngày ngang qua cách hành xử và làm việc của mình. Những lời
chứng của các Kitô hữu vẫn còn tiếp tục. Nhưng chúng cũng gặp phải nhiều
công kích, bách hại, khủng bố.</font></p>

Giêsu. Xin soi sáng cho con hiểu những gì mà Đức Giêsu đã dạy. Nhắc nhớ cho
con tất cả những gì mà Đức Giêsu đã làm và giúp con dám can đảm làm chứng về
tất cả những điều này. Xin gìn giữ con, để tinh thần thế gian, những việc dễ
dàng thoải mái đến từ cha của sự dối trá, thủ lãnh thế gian này, là tội lỗi,
không làm con xa lìa việc làm chứng cho Chúa.’”</font></p>
