<font face="Arial">Nhắc lại cuộc gặp gỡ của phái đoàn Vatican và Trung Quốc
vào tháng 10-2015, Đức Hồng y cho rằng Rôma không nên có một thỏa hiệp với
bất cứ giá nào với Bắc Kinh, vì một thỏa hiệp như thế sẽ phương hại đến bản
chất của mối dây liên hệ mà Giáo hội Trung Quốc phải duy trì với Rôma, thỏa
hiệp này phải đi theo các bảo đảm chính thức về sự tự do điều hành và tổ
chức của Giáo hội Trung Quốc, hãng tin Giáo hội Á Châu cho biết như trên.
“Trong sáu tháng vừa qua, một vài sự kiện có vẻ như tích cực, nhưng cuối
cùng thì không có gì đáng mừng”, Đức Hồng y khẳng định, ngài lấy làm tiếc là
việc giải quyết các tranh chấp – như vụ bắt giữ giám mục Su Zhemin thuộc địa
phận Bảo Định và vụ quản thúc tại gia giám mục Mã Đạt Khâm (Ma Daquin), địa
phận Thượng Hải – đã không có một điều đình nào trước. Một cách nền tảng hơn,
Đức Hồng y lo lắng nếu Vatican không để ý đến Giáo hội chui, ngài sợ một
thỏa hiệp sẽ bị niêm bằng mọi giá, do ảo tưởng của Rôma (như tiến trình
phong các giám mục theo đề nghị của chính quyền Trung Quốc) và trên chiến
thắng của Trung Quốc trong tương quan quyền lực – “Bắc Kinh đòi hỏi Tòa
Thánh phải chấp nhận tất cả các giám mục kể cả các giám mục bất hợp pháp và
các giám mục đã bị dứt phép thông công”, Đức Hồng y giải thích, ngài trích
các tin tức của hãng tin Giáo hội Á Châu. </font></p>

quốc doanh, các giám mục này hiện nay bị Giáo hội dứt phép thông công. Ngài
tự hỏi: “Sau khi sát hại các Hài Nhi, liệu các nhà ngoại giao của chúng ta
có xin Thánh Giuse khiêm nhượng quỳ gối trước vua Hêrôđê không?”. Một cảnh
báo nghiêm khắc, ông Régis Anouilh uyển chuyển nhắc lại: “Giáo hoàng
Phanxicô là tu sĩ Dòng Tên! Ngài đặt tầm quan trọng đặc biệt vào Trung Quốc.
Nếu từ chối mọi tiếp xúc với nhà cầm quyền Trung Quốc thì sẽ tạo ra sự cô
lập của người công giáo ở xứ sở này”.</font></td>
