<font face="Arial">WHĐ (05.08.2016) – Đức Thánh Cha Phanxicô thinh lặng cầu
nguyện một mình trong ngôi nhà nguyện nhỏ Portiuncula: đó là hình ảnh ấn
tượng của chuyến viếng thăm lần thứ hai của Đức Thánh Cha đến Assisi hôm thứ
Năm 04-08-2016, nhân kỷ niệm 800 năm ơn “ơn đại xá Portiuncula”. Gần ba năm
sau chuyến viếng thăm lần trước vào ngày 04-10-2013, chuyến viếng thăm lần
này của Đức Thánh Cha rất ngắn gọn và mang tính biểu tượng, chỉ kéo dài hai
giờ, theo bước chân của Thánh Phanxicô, trong ngôi nhà nguyện bằng đá khiêm
tốn, nơi “Poverello, người-nghèo-bé-nhỏ thành Assisi” được ơn hoán cải, đã
thành lập Dòng Anh Em Hèn mọn, và đã chọn cái chết nghèo giữa những người
nghèo.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Trước 3000 người gồm khách hành hương, các tín hữu và các
tu sĩ dòng Phanxicô ngồi chật kín Vương cung thánh đường Nữ Vương các Thiên
thần, Đức Thánh Cha đã giải thích bài dụ ngôn theo Tin Mừng theo Thánh
Matthêu về tên mắc nợ không biết thương xót. Ngài mời gọi mọi người hãy biết
tha thứ như Chúa là Đấng hay thương xót đã dạy chúng ta.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">“Tôi muốn đưa tất cả anh chị em vào Thiên đàng!” Trước
đông đảo các tín hữu, Đức Thánh Cha đã nhắc lại lời này của Thánh Phanxicô
tại Portiuncula cách nay 800 năm. Và để “đến được Thiên đàng, con đường tha
thứ chắc chắn là con đường chính mà chúng ta phải theo”, Đức Thánh Cha nói.
Chú giải dụ ngôn Chúa Giêsu nói với Phêrô, Đức Thánh Cha đặt câu hỏi: “Tại
sao chúng ta phải tha thứ cho những người đã làm hại chúng ta?”</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Trong câu chuyện này, một người đầy tớ mắc nợ rất lớn với
nhà vua đã được vua thương xót tha hết nợ, nhưng anh lại đi đòi người chỉ
mắc nợ anh một số tiền nhỏ. Đức Thánh Cha nói: “Anh ta đã đi tóm cổ người ấy
và nói: ‘Trả nợ cho ta’. Trong cảnh này, chúng ta thấy được toàn bộ tấn bi
kịch về các mối tương quan giữa con người của chúng ta. Và ngài nhấn mạnh:
“Khi chúng ta mắc nợ người khác, chúng ta muốn được thương xót; trái lại,
khi chúng ta là chủ nợ chúng ta lại đòi thi hành công lý! Hãy thú nhận rằng
chúng ta vẫn luôn làm như thế, nhưng đó không phải là lối sống của người
Kitô hữu”. Khi “Chúa Giêsu dạy chúng ta tha thứ”, là tha thứ không giới hạn.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">“Bởi vì chúng ta đã nhận được ơn tha thứ trước hết, và
tha thứ luôn mãi”. Đức Thánh Cha nói tiếp: “Đó là sự tha thứ dịu dàng”. Và
dụ ngôn muốn nói với chúng ta điều này: Thiên Chúa là Đấng kiên nhẫn, “như
Chúa đã tha thứ cho chúng ta, chúng ta cũng phải tha thứ cho những người làm
hại chúng ta”.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Đức Thánh Cha cảnh báo: “Chúng ta biết rõ rằng chúng ta
đầy những khiếm khuyết và chúng ta thường phạm đi phạm lại cùng một tội”,
nhưng “Thiên Chúa chẳng hề mệt mỏi, Ngài luôn ban ơn tha thứ mỗi khi chúng
ta đến xin Ngài: tha hết, tha tất cả”. Một ơn toàn xá như Thánh Phanxicô đã
xin Đức giáo hoàng Honorius III ban cho vào năm 1216 tại Portiuncula,
Assisi. Trong Năm Thánh Lòng Thương xót này, “ơn tha thứ ấy thực sự có thể
làm cho Giáo hội và thế giới được đổi mới”, bởi vì ngày hôm nay vẫn còn “quá
nhiều người sống giam mình trong hận thù oán ghét, họ không có khả năng tha
thứ, họ phá hỏng cuộc sống của chính mình và của người khác thay vì đi tìm
