<font face="Arial">Nhân dịp tháng Ramadan và lễ hội ‘Id al-Fitr, kết thúc
tháng chay tịnh Ramadan của người Hồi giáo, Đức Hồng Y Jean-Louis Tauran,
Chủ tịch Hội đồng Tòa Thánh Đối Thoại Liên tôn đã gửi một sứ điệp với những
lời chúc mừng đến cho các tín hữu Hồi giáo. Ngài cầu chúc các anh chị em Hồi
giáo toàn thế giới sự chay tịnh phong phú về tinh thần, được trợ giúp bởi
các việc làm tốt và một lễ hội vui tươi.</font></p>

đặt trọng tâm vào niềm tin chung vào một Thiên Chúa thương xót. Đức Hồng Y
nói: “Lòng thương xót của Thiên Chúa được bày tỏ cách đặc biệt qua việc Ngài
tha thứ các lỗi lầm của chúng ta”.</font></p>

Hồi giáo được mời gọi cố gắng bắt chước lòng thương xót của Thiên Chúa. Ngài
yêu cầu các Ki-tô hữu và tín hữu Hồi giáo có lòng thương xót và cảm thông
đối với ngừơi khác, đặc biệt những người đang đau khổ dưới bất cứ hình thức
nào. Thiên Chúa cũng kêu gọi chúng ta tha thứ cho người khác.”</font></p>

qua nhiều nạn nhân của tấn kích và bạo lực, đặc biệt các người già, trẻ em
và phụ nữ, cũng như nạn nhân của các vụ buôn người, những người đau khổ vì
nghèo khổ, bịnh tật, các thiên tai tự nhiên và thất nghiệp. Chúng ta không
thể nhắm mắt trươc các thực tại này hay quay đi trước các đau thương này.
Đúng là thực tế thì phức tạp và nhiều khi vượt quá khả năng của chúng ta. Do
đó điều quan trọng là chúng ta cùng nhau hành động trong việc trợ giúp các
người đau khổ. Thật là một nguồm hy vọng khi chúng ta thấy các Ki-tô hữu và
tín hữu Hồi giáo nắm tay nhau giúp đỡ những người đau khổ. Khi nắm tay nhau
cùng làm việc, chúng ta thực hiện lệnh truyền của Thiên Chúa chứng tỏ lòng
thương xót của Thiên Chúa và như thế cung cấp một chứng từ đáng tin cậy hơn,
cách cá nhân và cộng đoàn, cho niềm tin của chúng ta”.</font></p>
