<font face="Arial">Lời cầu nguyện giúp duy trì đức tin và cho chúng ta sống
kinh nghiệm lòng thương xót của Thiên Chúa Vì thế Chúa Giêsu dậy chúng ta
phải cầu nguyện luôn luôn không mỏi mệt. Điều quan trọng nhất là bước vào
trong tương quan với Thiên Chúa Cha. Lời cầu nguyện biến đổi ước muốn và
nhào nặn nó theo ý muốn của Thiên Chúa, bất cứ nó là lời cầu nguyện nào, bởi
vì ai cầu nguyện thì trước hết ngưỡng vọng hiệp nhất với Chúa là Tình yêu
thương xót.</font></p>

du khách năm châu. Trong các đoàn hành hương cũng có hai đoàn hành hương mỗi
đoàn hơn 50 người, một đoàn đến từ Thụy Sĩ, đoàn kia đến từ Đan Mạch, và
cũng có ít người đến từ Đức.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Dụ ngôn trong Tin Mừng mà chúng ta vừa nghe (x. Lc
18,1-8) chứa đựng một giáo huấn quan trọng: “Sự cần thiết phải luôn luôn cầu
nguyện, mà không bao giờ mệt mỏi” (c. 1). Như vậy đây không phải là cầu
nguyện vài lần, khi tôi cảm thấy muốn cầu nguyện. Không, Chúa Giêsu nói rằng
cần cầu nguyện luôn luôn, không mỏi mệt. Và ngài đưa ra thí dụ của bà goá và
vị thẩm phán.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Vị thẩm phán là một nhân vật quyền thế, được mời gọi đưa
ra các phán quyết dựa trên Lề Luật Môshê. Vì vậy truyền thống kinh thánh đã
nhắn nhủ rằng các thẩm phán là những người kính sợ Thiên Chúa, đáng tin cậy,
không thiên vị và không thể hối lộ (x. Xh 18,2). Ông thẩm phán này thì trái
lại, “không sợ Thiên Chúa cũng không coi ai ra gì” (c. 2), Ông ta đã là một
thẩm phán gian ác, không ngần ngại, không chú ý tới Luật Lệ, nhưng chỉ làm
điều ông muốn. Một bà goá chạy đến với ông để có công lý. Các bà goá, cùng
với các trẻ mồ côi và người ngoại kiều, đã là các giai tầng yếu đuối nhất
trong xã hội. Các quyền mà Lề Luật bảo đảm cho họ có thể bị chà đạp dễ dàng,
bởi vì là những người cô thế, không được bênh đỡ, họ khó có thể làm cho mình
có giá trị.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Trước sự thờ ơ của ông thẩm phán, bà goá dùng vũ khĩ duy
nhất bà có là tiếp tục kiên trì quấy rầy ông ta, và xin ông thi hành công
lý. Chính sự kiên trì đó đạt mục đích. Thật vậy, tới một lúc nào đó ông thẩm
phán nhận lời xin của bà, không phải vì ông động lòng thương xót, cũng không
phải bởi vì lương tâm ông đòi buộc, nhưng chỉ vì ông đơn sơ nhận rằng: “Vì

<font face="Arial">Từ dụ ngôn này Chúa Giêsu rút tiả ra một kết luận kép:
nếu bà goá đã thành công bẻ gẫy được ông thẩm phán vô liêm chính với các lời
xin kiên trì của bà, thì Thiên Chúa là Cha nhân từ và công chính còn hơn
biết bao nữa, “Người sẽ xét xử cho các kẻ được tuyển chọn của Người đang
ngày đêm kêu lên Người; và ngoài ra Người sẽ không để họ chờ lâu, nhưng sẽ
mau chóng hành động” (cc.7-8).</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Tiếp tục bài huấn dụ Đức Thánh Cha nói: Chính vì vậy Chúa
Giêsu khích lệ cầu nguyện “không mởi mệt”. Chúng ta tất cả đều cảm thấy
những lúc mệt mỏi và ngã lòng, nhất là khi lời cầu của chúng ta xem ra không
công hiệu. Nhưng Chúa Giêsu bảo đảm với chúng ta : khác với ông thẩm phán
bất lương, Thiên Chúa nhận lời các con cái Ngài một cách mau mắn, cả khi
điều này không có nghĩa là Ngài làm điều đó trong các thời gian và kiểu
chúng ta muốn. Lời cầu nguyện kkhông phải là một chiếc đũa phù phép! Nó giúp
duy trì niềm tin nơi Thiên Chúa và tín thác cho Ngài, cả khi chúng ta không
hiểu ý muốn của Ngài. Trong điều này chính Chúa Giêsu là Đấng cầu nguyện
nhiều biết bao, nêu gương cho chúng ta. Thư gửi tín hữu Do thái nhắc nhớ
rằng “Khi còn sống kiếp phàm nhân, Đức Giê-su đã lớn tiếng kêu van khóc lóc
mà dâng lời khẩn nguyện nài xin lên Đấng có quyền năng cứu Người khỏi chết.
Người đã được nhậm lời, vì có lòng tôn kính” (Dt 5,7). Thoạt tiên khẳng định
này xem ra không thật, bởi vì Chúa Giêsu đã chết trên thập giá. Thế nhưng
thư gửi tín hữu Do thái không sai lầm: Thiên Chúa đã thật sự cứu Đức Giêsu
khỏi cái chết, bằng cách cho Người hoàn toàn chiến thắng nó, nhưng con đường
để được nó đã đi qua chính cái chết! Việc quy chiếu về lời khẩn nài mà Thiên
Chúa đã nhận lời quy về lời cầu của Chúa Giêsu trong vườn Giệtsêmani. Bị tấn
công bởi nỗi âu lo đè nặng, Chúa Giêsu cầu xin Thiên Chúa Cha giải thoát
Người khỏi chén đắng của cuộc khổ nạn, nhưng lời cầu của Người nhuần thấm sự
tin tưởng nơi Thiên Chúa Cha và Người tín thác nơi ý muốn của Cha không dè
dặt. Chúa Giêsu nói: “không như con muốn, mà như Cha muốn” (Mt 26,39). Đức
Thánh Cha giải thích thêm như sau:</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Đối tượng của lời cầu nguyện xuống hàng thứ yếu; điều
quan trọng trước hết là tương quan với Thiên Chúa Cha. Đó, lời cầu nguyện
làm điều gì: bất cứ là lời cầu nguyện nào, nó biến đổi ước muốn và nhào nặn
nó theo ý muốn của Thiên Chúa, bởi vì ai cầu nguyện thì trước hết ngưỡng
vọng hiệp nhất với Người là Tinh Yêu thương xót.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Dụ ngôn kết thúc với câu hỏi: “Nhưng khi Con Người đến,
có còn tìm thấy đức tin trên trái đất hay không?” (c. 8). Chúng ta tất cả
đều được cảnh cáo: chúng ta không được khước từ lời cầu nguyện, cả khi nó
không đáp ứng. Chính lời cầu nguyện duy trì đức tin, không có nó thì đức tin
chao đảo! Chúng ta hãy xin Chúa một đức tin trở thành lời cầu nguyện liên
lỉ, kiên trì, như lời cầu nguyện của bà goá trong dụ ngôn, một đức tin được
dưỡng nuôi bằng ước mong Người đến. Và trong lời cầu nguyện chúng ta sống
kinh nghiệm lòng cảm thương của Thiên Chúa, như Người Cha đến gặp gỡ các con
cái mình tràn đầy tình yêu thương xót.</font></p>

đặc biệt là phái đoàn tổng giáo phận Toulouse do ĐC Robert Le Gall hướng

đến từ Bỉ và Benin bên Phi Châu. Ngài khích lệ mọi người đừng bao giờ bỏ lời
cầu nguyện, cả đôi khi xem ra nó vô ích. Vì Thiên Chúa luôn nhận lời chúng
ta trong một cách thức mà chúng ta không chờ đợi.</font></p>
