giây phút cuối cùng của cuộc sống tại thế, từ Bữa Tiệc Ly đến khi chịu đóng
đinh trên cây Thánh giá. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Chiếc áo được coi là một trong những điều thiêng liêng
nhất của Kitô giáo, đã đang được trưng bày, từ 25 tháng Ba - 10 tháng Tư,
2016 tại Vương Cung Thánh Đường Thánh Denys ở Argenteuil của Giáo phận
Pontoise theo hướng Bắc của của Paris, thuộc Giáo tỉnh Paris. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Chiếc áo đã được bảo quản tại đây từ hơn 1200 năm. Vào
đầu thế kỷ thứ chín, vì muốn tìm cách củng cố đế chế của mình nên Hoàng hậu
Irène của Constantinople đã tặng chiếc áo này cho Charlemagne
(02/4/742-28/01 /814), Vua nước Pháp. Sau đó, Charlemagne uỷ thác chiếc áo
cho con gái mình Théodorade, khi đó là Bề trên của tu viện tại Argenteuil.
Chiếc áo đã từng được cất giấu trong một bức tường trong thời kỳ xâm lược
của người Bắc Âu. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Lần gần đây nhất chiếc áo được đưa ra trưng bày ngày 14
tháng Tư 1984 tại đây. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Thường lệ, cứ 50 năm, nơi đây sẽ trưng bày Thánh tích này
cho mọi người đến kính viếng. Như vậy là phải đợi đến năm 2034. Nhưng Giám
mục Stanislas Lalanne của Giáo phận Pontoise đã quyết định trưng bày ngoại
lệ vào năm 2016 này. Ngài đưa ra ba lý do cho quyết định nói trên, đó là: thứ
nhất, Giáo phận Pontoise sẽ kỷ niệm 50 năm thành lập giáo phận; thứ hai,
Vương Cung Thánh Đường Argenteuil vừa tròn 150 tuổi và thứ ba, năm 2016 sẽ
là năm đặc biệt của Lòng Thương Xót. Ngài nhấn mạnh: "Chính chiếc áo này là
bằng chứng cụ thể của lòng thương xót của Chúa Kitô, đã chết trên thập tự
giá cho sự tha thứ tội lỗi của chúng ta"; Ngài nói thêm: "Mọi người đều
được mời đến chiêm ngắm, bất kể tôn giáo, và cho dù có cùng hành trình về
đức tin hay chỉ vì tò mò."</font></td>
