tốt cho Giáo Hội. Tốt hơn vì nó là cần thiết. Đầu tiên, ngài tin rằng thật
cần thiết để thế giới thấy được lý do tại sao tha thứ lại là quan trọng. Và
thứ hai, Năm thánh còn cho thấy con người khao khát mãnh liệt: Thiên Chúa
tha thứ cho mình.</font></p>

mở lòng chúng ta để niềm vui của Thiên Chúa có thể đổ đầy trong chúng ta.”</font></p>

hiện sự gần gũi thế giới của Thiên Chúa và căn tính chính yếu của Thiên Chúa
là lòng thương xót. Năm Thánh là dịp duy nhất để trải nghiệm lòng thương
xót.</font></p>

tha thứ và thương xót vốn là những gì Thiên Chúa ước mong cho con người. Và
những gì thế giới đang cần, trên tất cả và trong thời điểm hiện nay, đó là
lòng thứ tha nơi xã hội, trong các tổ chức, tại nơi làm việc, và trong gia
đình nữa. “</font></p>

nếu chúng ta quên mất lòng thương xót vốn là điều Thiên Chúa thích nhất, thì
tất cả nỗ lực của chúng ta sẽ trở nên vô ích; vì chúng ta sẽ trở thành nô lệ
cho các tổ chức của chúng ta, cho những cấu trúc của chúng ta, và không tài
nào canh tân những tổ chức và cơ cấu ấy.”</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Đức Thánh Cha kết luận với mong ước: mọi người hãy trải
nghiệm sự gần gũi của Thiên Chúa trong suốt Năm Thánh này. Ngài đưa ra một
yêu cầu quan trọng: đối với những tội nhân hãy sám hối ăn năn. Đó là bước
đầu tiên và không thể thiếu để mở cánh cửa lòng thương xót của Thiên Chúa.</font></p>
