Đức nguyên giáo hoàng Bênêđictô XVI – giáo sư Joseph Ratzinger – đã có cuộc
gặp gỡ các cựu sinh viên của ngài trong cuộc họp truyền thống hằng năm của
Câu lạc bộ sinh viên Ratzinger (Ratzinger Schülerkreis) tại Castel Gandolfo,
biệt điện mùa hè của các giáo hoàng, cách Roma 20 km về phía nam. Ngài đã
cùng với các học trò suy tư trong mấy ngày về chủ đề “Ngày nay, phải nói về
Thiên Chúa như thế nào”. Những bài suy tư do linh mục và triết gia người
Cộng hoà Séc, Tomáš Halík, hướng dẫn.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Cuộc gặp gỡ truyền thống kết thúc với Thánh lễ do Đức
Bênêđictô XVI chủ sự hôm Chúa nhật 30-08 vừa qua ở “Học viện Giáo hoàng Đức
quốc tại Roma”. Trong bài giảng Thánh lễ bằng tiếng Đức, Đức Bênêđictô đã
suy tư về nguồn gốc ngoại giới của sự dữ và nguồn gốc nội tại nơi con người,
mà ngài gọi là “bệnh dịch của con tim”, dẫn đến việc “chỉ nghĩ tới mình mà
không nghĩ tới điều thiện”. Ngược lại, ngài đề cao giá trị của việc “vệ sinh
tâm hồn bằng Chân Lý của Thiên Chúa”, đem lại “sức mạnh cho việc thanh
luyện”.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Từ khi từ nhiệm ngày 11-02-2013, Joseph Ratzinger dành
cuộc đời của mình cho việc cầu nguyện và học hỏi. Năm nay đã 88 tuổi, ngài
khấn nguyện vâng phục Đức giáo hoàng và chỉ công khai lên tiếng trước công
chúng vào những dịp hết sức đặc biệt, như hôm 04 tháng Bảy vừa qua, ngài đã
phát biểu tại Castel Gandolfo về Thánh nhạc, khi nhận bằng tiến sĩ danh dự
của Đại học giáo hoàng Gioan Phaolô II ở Krakow, Ba Lan và của Viện Hàn lâm
âm nhạc Krakow.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Sau Thánh lễ, Đức nguyên giáo hoàng Bênêđictô XVI đã làm
phép một phòng mang tên ngài, ở Học viện Giáo hoàng Đức quốc tại Roma. Đức
ông Hans Peter Fischer, Viện trưởng, loan báo lễ khánh thành “Thư viện
Joseph Ratzinger – Bênêđictô XVI” đặt tại nơi đây sẽ diễn ra vào ngày 18-11
sắp tới. Thư viện –được dành trọn cho đời sống và tư tưởng của nhà thần học
nổi tiếng này– gồm khoảng một ngàn đầu sách bằng nhiều thứ tiếng, sẽ mở cửa
nhiều ngày trong tuần, vào buổi chiều.</font></p>
