<font face="Arial">ĐTC Phanxicô sẽ cử hành thánh lễ tại 3 thành phố Havana,
Holguin và Santiago de Cuba trong cuộc thăm viếng đảo quốc này, sẽ diễn ra
từ ngày 19 cho đến 22 tháng 9, trước khi Ngài bay qua Hoa Kỳ. Ngài đã được
ca tụng là nhân tố hoà giải giúp cho cuộc tan băng lịch sử giữa Cuba và Hoa
Kỳ. Ngài đã gửi thư riêng cho cả hai vị tổng thống Raul Castro và Barack
Obama, và đã giúp cho hai bên thực hiện những cuộc tiếp xúc cao cấp tại
Vatican.</font></p>

"giúp hai quốc gia lật qua một trang sử mới," và ông nhìn tới ngày mà 2 quốc
gia sẽ tái lập quan hệ đầy đủ, trong đó có việc bãi bỏ lệnh cấm vận.</font></p>
