sự sửng sốt trong cuộc gặp gỡ với Chúa Giêsu. Đức Thánh Cha đã nói như trên
trong bài giảng thánh lễ tại nhà nguyện Santa Marta sáng thứ Năm 3 tháng 9
lễ Thánh Grêgôriô Cả, Giáo Hoàng và Tiến Sĩ Hội Thánh.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Bài giảng Đức Thánh Cha Phanxicô đã tập trung vào bài Tin
Mừng trong ngày kể về câu chuyện mẻ cá lạ. Sau khi làm việc suốt đêm mà
không bắt được gì, thánh Phêrô, với niềm tin tưởng vào Chúa Giêsu, đã thả
lưới xuống biển. Đức Thánh Cha sử dụng câu chuyện này để nói về đức tin như
là một cuộc gặp gỡ với Chúa. Trước hết, ngài lưu ý cộng đoàn rằng Chúa Giêsu
đã dành phần lớn thời gian của Ngài trên đường phố, với đám đông dân chúng;
và rồi khi chiều tối, Ngài lui vào nơi thanh vắng để cầu nguyện – nhưng
trước đó Ngài đã gặp dân chúng, đã tìm kiếm họ.</font></p>

nhau. Thái độ thứ nhất là thái độ của Phêrô, của các Tông Đồ, và của đám
đông dân chúng.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">“Tin Mừng sử dụng cùng một từ để chỉ thái độ của dân
chúng, của các Tông Đồ, và của Phêrô. Đó là ‘họ sửng sốt’. Sự kinh ngạc,
trên thực tế, nắm lấy họ, và tất cả gì thuộc về họ khi cảm giác sửng sốt này
ập đến.... Những người nghe Chúa Giêsu và những gì Ngài nói cảm thấy điều
ngạc nhiên này là ‘Người giảng dạy như một Đấng có thẩm quyền, chứ không như
các kinh sư của họ’”</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Thái độ thứ hai là thái độ của những nhóm người gặp gỡ
Chúa Giêsu nhưng không cho phép sự ngạc nhiên này len lỏi vào con tim của
họ.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">“Các luật sĩ đã nghe Chúa Giêsu, nhưng họ tính toán trong
bụng: ‘Ừ, ông ta thông minh đấy, ông ta là một con người nói những điều
đúng, nhưng chúng ta không thể đồng ý với những điều này, không thể được. Họ
đã tính toán, và họ đã quyết định giữ khoảng cách với Ngài.”</font></p>

<font face="Arial">“Quỷ sứ cũng thế”, Đức Thánh Cha nói thêm, “Chúng cũng
tuyên bố rằng Chúa Giêsu là ‘Con Thiên Chúa’, nhưng cũng như các luật sĩ và
những người Pharisêu bất lương, chúng không có khả năng ngạc nhiên, chúng đã
đóng cửa lòng mình trong sự tự mãn, và trong niềm tự hào của mình. Trái lại,

<font face="Arial">“Bọn quỷ đến để nói sự thật về Ngài, nhưng chúng không hề
nói gì về bản thân mình. Chúng không thể làm khác đi được. Niềm tự hào của
chúng quá lớn đến mức ngăn cản chúng nói sự thật về mình. Các luật sĩ nói:
‘Đây là một con người thông minh, một giáo sĩ có khả năng đấy, còn biết làm
phép lạ nữa kia!’ Nhưng họ không nói: ‘Chúng tôi là những kẻ rất tự phụ dù
chúng tôi còn nhiều thiếu xót, chúng tôi đều là những kẻ có tội’. Không có
khả năng nhận ra mình là kẻ tội lỗi khiến cho chúng ta không có được những
lời thú nhận thật sự về Chúa Giêsu. Và đây là sự khác biệt.”</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Khả năng nói rằng chúng ta là những người tội lỗi mở ra
trước chúng ta sự ngạc nhiên trong cuộc gặp gỡ với Chúa Giêsu Kitô, một cuộc
gặp gỡ thật sự. Trong các giáo xứ, trong các cộng đoàn của chúng ta, ngay cả
nơi những người thánh hiến: Có bao nhiêu người có khả năng nói rằng Chúa
Giêsu là Chúa? Nhiều lắm! Nhưng thật khó biết bao để nói một cách chân thành
rằng: ‘Tôi là kẻ có tội.’ Thật dễ dàng để nói về tội lỗi của người khác,
phải không? Khi một người được ngồi lê đôi mách chuyện này, chuyện nọ,
chuyện kia... Chúng ta tất cả đều là những bậc thầy về những chuyện như thế,
không phải sao? Để đến với một cuộc gặp gỡ thực sự với Chúa Kitô một lời
tuyên xưng gồm hai mặt như sau là cần thiết: ‘Ngài là Con Thiên Chúa, và tôi
là kẻ có tội’ - nhưng không được nói chung chung mà phải rõ ràng rằng tôi là
kẻ có tội vì điều này, vì điều nọ, vì điều kia, và vì những điều này nữa…”</font></p>

lời nguyện “Xin Chúa ban cho chúng ta ơn để gặp Ngài, nhưng cũng để cho phép
chính mình gặp Ngài. Xin Chúa ban cho chúng ta ân sủng quá đẹp này, là biết
kinh ngạc này trong cuộc gặp gỡ với Ngài. Và xin Chúa ban cho chúng ta ơn
được tuyên xưng trong cuộc sống của chúng ta: ‘Lạy Chúa, Chúa thật là Con
Thiên Chúa hằng sống; Con tin điều đó. Còn con chỉ là kẻ có tội; Con tin như
thế.”</font></td>
