ĐHY đã đưa ra lời kêu gọi trên đây sau khi một video phổ biến cách thức các
nhân viên của một hiệp hội quốc gia lấy và bán các cơ phận của các thai nhi
bị phá trong một hệ thống gồm nhiều nhà thương phá thai tại Mỹ.<br>

Trong thông cáo ĐHY đã trích lời ĐTC Phanxicô: “Phá thai là sản phẩm của một
tâm thức lợi nhuận, của một nền văn hóa xài rồi vất bỏ, mà hiện nay đã nô lệ
hóa tâm trí của biết bao nhiêu người”. Các trường hợp báo chí đề cập đến
trong các ngày qua phải lôi kéo sự chú ý của chúng ta tới hai vấn đề liên
lụy tới các cơ cấu xã hội: Thứ nhất là việc phá thai, một trực tiếp tấn kích
sự sống con người trong điều kiện đễ bị tổn thương nhất của nó. Đề tài thứ
hai đã trở thành mô thức đó là việc lấy các tế bào và các cơ phận của thai
nhi qua việc phá thai. Cả hai việc thực hành này đều chối bỏ việc tôn trọng
nhân loại và phẩm giá của sự sống con người. ĐHY cầu mong các sự kiện này
được thảo luận công khai. <br>

Sau cùng ĐHY nhắc cho mọi người biết tất cả những ai bị chấn thương tâm thần
vì đã phá thai có thể tìm thấy sự tiếp đón, cảm thương và trợ giúp nhờ “Dự
án Rakhel” cùa Giáo Hội Công Giáo. Hiệp hội này đã được thành lập năm 1984
trong giáo phận Milwaukee và qua dòng thời gian đã trở thành cơ quan tông đồ
của các GM Mỹ, hiện diện trong hơn 100 gíao phận và tại nhiều nước , nhằm
trợ giúp chữa lành tinh thần cho các phụ nữ sau thời gian phá thai. Tên của
Hiệp hội bắt nguồn từ Thánh Kinh: “Rakhel than khóc con mình và từ chối được
an ủi vì các con của bà không còn nữa” (Gr 31,15-17) (SD 30-7-2015)</font></td>
