	<font face="Arial">Đức Thượng Phụ Chính thống thành Constantinople, trong tư 
	cách là Thượng phụ Đại kết, đã viết thư triệu tập một hội nghị bao gồm tất 
	cả các giám mục Chính Thống Giáo trên thế giới, sẽ được tổ chức từ 29 tháng 
	8 đến mùng 02 tháng 9.<br>
	<br>
	Mục đích chính của cuộc họp là nhằm chuẩn bị cho một Hội đồng Toàn Chính 
	thống, dự kiến sẽ diễn ra vào năm 2016. Nếu điều này xảy ra theo đúng kế 
	hoạch, cuộc họp này sẽ là cuộc họp chưa từng có bao gồm tất cả các nhà lãnh 
	đạo Chính thống giáo trên thế giới.<br>
	<br>
	Chính Thống Giáo không có một cơ chế tập trung quyền bính như Giáo Hội Công 
	Giáo. Đức Thượng Phụ Bácthôlômêô của thành Constantinople không phải là vị 
	Giáo Hoàng của Chính Thống Giáo. Ngài cũng chỉ là một trong số 7 vị thượng 
	phụ Chính Thống Giáo khác. Từ lâu, Chính Thống Giáo đã mong muốn có một sự 
	hiệp nhất chặt chẽ hơn. Khái niệm “Pan-Orthodox Council” – Công Đồng Toàn 
	Chính Thống Giáo - đã được ra đời trong bối cảnh đó và được hiểu nôm na như 
	một Vatican của Chính Thống Giáo, mặc dù cố nhiên có những khác biệt rất xa.<br>
	<br>
	Tuy nhiên, con đường hình thành Công Đồng Toàn Chính Thống Giáo có lẽ vẫn 
	còn xa. Ngay phiên họp đầu tiên, các chủ đề nào sẽ được đưa ra thảo luận đã 
	trở thành một vấn đề gây căng thẳng giữa các nhà lãnh đạo Chính thống.&nbsp;<br>
	<br>
	Giáo Hội Chính Thống Nga khăng khăng cho rằng chỉ thảo luận các chủ đề nào 
	được sự hỗ trợ của tất cả các tòa Thượng Phụ. Quy tắc đó chắc chắn sẽ ngăn 
	chặn các cuộc thảo luận về những vấn đề phức tạp nhất đang gây chia rẽ trong 
	thế giới Chính Thống.<br>
	<br>
	Trong một diễn biến có liên quan, một nhân vật hàng đầu trong Giáo Hội Chính 
	thống Ukraine liên minh với Tòa Thượng Phụ Mạc Tư Khoa khẳng định rằng sự 
	chia rẽ cộng đồng Chính Thống Giáo Ukraine là một vấn đề không thể được thảo 
	luận tại Hội đồng. Đức Tổng Giám Mục Anthony Pakanych của Chính Thống Giáo 
	Ukraine trực thuộc Tòa Thượng Phụ Mạc Tư Khoa giải thích lý do như sau:<br>

	&quot;Hiện nay chưa thể nào có sự thống nhất về vấn đề này giữa các Giáo Hội địa 
	phương,&quot;&nbsp;<br>
	<br>
	Trong một dấu hiệu nữa cho thấy các căng thẳng giữa các giám mục Chính thống 
	giáo trên thế giới, Đức Tổng Giám Mục Anthony Pakanych đã phàn nàn rằng đại 
	diện của Tòa Thượng Phụ Đại Kết, đã đi thăm Ukraine, mà không xin phép Tòa 
	Thượng Phụ Mạc Tư Khoa trước, và đã gặp đại diện của Tòa Thượng Phụ Kiev.</font></td>
