đây cần đến tình liên đới của người hành hương!” Đây là lời kêu gọi đầy cảm
động của Bệnh viện nhi Caritas ở Bethlehem, được đưa ra vài ngày sau bài
phát biểu của cha Pierbattista Pizzaballa, bề trên Dòng Phanxicô Quản thủ Thánh Địa.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Trong một đoạn video phát hôm thứ Ba 04-08, nữ tu Donatella
Lessio, người đã phục vụ tại bệnh viện Caritas lâu năm,nói rằng sơ nhận thấy từ ít
lâu nay số lượng khách hành hương đã sụt giảm cách đáng kể, đặc biệt là khách
hành hươngtừ Châu Âu; họ nói rằng họ “sợ” hành hương đến Thánh Địa, và nản
lòng vì tình trạng bất ổn kéo dài tại khu vực rất xáo trộn này. Nhưng sơ Donatella
trấn an: “Không có gì phải sợ! Ở đây, tất cả đều yên tĩnh. Ở đây, hơn bất cứ nơi
nàokhác, không thiếu sự an toàn. Và là người Kitô hữu, chúng ta không được sợ,
vì như Thánh Giaon nói, ai sợ hãi thìkhông yêu thương”.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Lời kêu gọi đơn sơ này là một phần trong chiến dịch được Hiệp
hội “Trợ giúp trẻ em Bethlehem” quảng bá. Riccardo Friede, một thành viên
của Hiệp hội, nhìn nhận: “Các tin tức gần đây đến từ Israel và Palestine có
thể làm chúng ta lo sợ, nhưng chúng ta là những người lớn và trưởng thành,
chúng ta có một thế giới quan trong đó những chọn lựa quan trọng nhất của
chúng ta đều được hướng dẫn bởi tình liên đới, tình yêu và hoà bình”. Hơn
bao giờ hết, tình yêu và niềmhy vọng phải thắng nỗi sợ hãi; hơn bao giờ hết,
các Kitô hữu ở Thánh Địa cần tình liên đới của anh chị em mình ở châu Âu:
tóm lại, đây là lời cầu xin vang lên từ Miền Đất của Chúa Kitô trong những
ngày này.</font></p>

bề trên Dòng Phanxicô Quản thủ Thánh Địa, cũng đã đưa ra lời kêu gọi với các
giáo phận, giáo xứ và các phong trào: “Tôi muốn nói với các bạn: “Xin đừng
bỏ rơi Thánh Địa!”Chẳng có lý do hợp lý nào khiến bạn không hành hương đến Thánh Địa nữa. An
toàn tại các Đền thánh và các khu vựcmà người hành hương thường thăm viếng đều được
bảo đảm. Chúng tôi là những Kitô hữu ở Thánh Địa, chúng tôi cầncó sự hiện
diện và nâng đỡ hơn bao giờ hết của những người hành hương từ khắp nơi trên thế
giới đến đây để cầu nguyện”.</font></p>

tin chắc rằng lời kêu gọi này sẽ được nhiều người Công giáo Ý (và những
người khác), là những người hằng ôm ấp Thánh Địa trong tim mình, đón
nhận. Và tôi cũng tin rằng trên những nẻo đường Chúa Giêsu đã đi qua, một
lần nữa lại sớm có thêm nhiều người lên đường để gặp gỡ Đấng đã đến để
cứu chuộc chúng ta”.</font></td>
