Taizé và biểu lộ lòng quí mến đối với mọi thành viên Cộng đoàn này.<br>

Ngài bày tỏ lập trường trên đây trong thư gửi đến Thầy Alois Tu viện trưởng
và Cộng đoàn Taizé nhân dịp kỷ niệm 3 biến cố: 75 năm thành lập, 100 năm
sinh nhật của thầy Roger và 10 năm thầy qua đời.<br>
<br>
Thư của ĐTC được ĐHY Kurt Koch, Chủ tịch Hội đồng Tòa Thánh Hiệp nhất các
tín hữu Kitô, tuyên đọc trong buổi lễ kỷ niệm ở Taizé ngày 16-8-2015 và được
công bố tại Vatican hôm 19-8-2015. Lá thư có đoạn viết:<br>

”Như ĐGH Biển Đức 16 đã nói với các bạn trẻ nhân dịp cuộc gặp gỡ Âu Châu do
Cộng đoàn Taizé tổ chức tại Roma năm 2012, Thầy Roger là một 'chứng nhân
không biết mệt mỏi của Tin Mừng hòa bình và hòa giải, được ngọn lửa đại kết
thánh thiện linh hoạt' (Diễn văn 29-12-2012).<br>
<br>
”Chính ngọn lửa ấy đã thúc đẩy Thầy thành lập một cộng đoàn có thể coi như
một ”dụ ngôn đích thực về tình hiệp thông”, cho đến nay đã giữ một vai trò
quan trọng để bắc những cây cầu huynh đệ giữa các tín hữu Kitô.<br>
<br>
”Thầy Roger hăng say tìm kiếm sự hiệp nhất của Giáo Hội, Thân Mình của Chúa
Kitô, Thầy cởi mở đối với những kho tàng được gìn giữ trong các truyền thống
Kitô khác nhau, nhưng không vì thế mà cắt đứt quan hệ với nguồn gốc Tin Lành
của Thầy. Do sự kiên trì đã chứng tỏ trong cuộc sống lâu dài, Thầy đã góp
phần thay đổi những quan hệ giữa các tín hữu Kitô còn bị chia rẽ, vạch ra
cho nhiều người một con đường hòa giải.<br>
<br>
“Được nuôi dưỡng bằng Kinh Thánh, Thầy Roger cũng tham chiếu giáo huấn của
các Thánh Giáo Phụ, Thầy kín múc nơi các nguồn mạch Kitô giáo và biết hiện
tại hóa các nguồn ấy cho nơi giới trẻ”.<br>
<br>
”Thầy Roger yêu mến người nghèo, những người kém may mắn, những người có vẻ
không có gì đáng kể. Trong cuộc sống của Thầy và của các tu huynh, Thầy đã
chứng tỏ rằng kinh nguyện đi song đối với tình liên đới giữa con người.<br>
<br>
”Tôi cảm tạ Thiên Chúa, là Cha, Con và Thánh Linh, vì cuộc sống dâng hiến
của Thầy Roger, cho đến cái chết vì bạo lực của Thầy. Ước gì Cộng đoàn Taizé
luôn duy trì nồng nhiệt chứng tá mà Thầy đã làm cho Chúa Kitô phục sinh và
lời kêu gọi Thầy không ngừng lập lại ”hãy chọn lựa yêu thương”<br>
