Cha đã thực hiện một cử chỉ tượng trưng là bấm vào một máy Ipad, để là người
đầu tiên đăng ký tham dự Đại hội giới trẻ thế giới tại Krakow.<br>

Theo tin từ Ủy Ban Đại Hội Giới Trẻ Thế Giới Krakow của Ba Lan, trong vòng
24 giờ đầu tiên sau đó, 48,000 bạn trẻ thuộc 250 nhóm và 300 thiện nguyện
viên đã ghi danh tham dự thể hiện nhiệt tình rất lớn của các bạn trẻ với Đại
Hội Giới Trẻ Thế Giới tại Ba Lan.<br>

Đức Hồng Y Stanislaw Rylko, chủ tịch Hội Đồng Giáo Hoàng về Giáo Dân, đã gửi
một thông điệp khích lệ các bạn trẻ trên thế giới ghi danh tham dự Ngày Giới
trẻ Thế giới sắp tới sẽ diễn ra tại Krakow từ 26 đến 31 Tháng 7 năm 2016. <br>

Trong thư gởi các bạn trẻ, vị Hồng Y người Ba Lan đưa ra nhận xét rằng Đại
Hội Giới Trẻ Thế Giới 2016 diễn ra trong bối cảnh của Năm Thánh Lòng Thương
Xót bắt đầu vào ngày 08 tháng 12 năm nay. Theo Đức Hồng Y, sự kiện Krakow
với chủ đề Lòng Thương Xót là sự kế tục hợp lý của ngày Giới Trẻ Thế Giới
cuối cùng tại Rio de Janeiro nơi Đức Thánh Cha Phanxicô đã khích lệ những
người trẻ hãy đọc các Mối Phúc Thật. Đức Hồng Y Rylko nhận xét rằng Đức Giáo
Hoàng đã đưa chủ đề lòng thương xót thành một ưu tiên trong triều đại giáo
hoàng của Ngài và cuộc gặp gỡ tại Krakow sẽ đánh dấu một ngày hội quốc tế
của các bạn trẻ dành riêng cho chủ đề này.<br>

Sau 25 năm cử hành Ngày Giới Trẻ Thế Giới, đây là lần thứ hai Ngày Giới Trẻ
Thế Giới được tổ chức tại Ba Lan, quê hương của vị Giáo Hoàng đã thiết định
việc cử hành ngày này trong Giáo Hội. Đại Hội Giới Trẻ Thế Giới đầu tiên tại
Ba Lan đã diễn ra vào năm 1991 tại đền thánh Đức Mẹ Czestochowa với Đức Giáo
Hoàng Gioan Phaolô II. <br>

Đức Hồng Y Stanislaw Rylko nói rằng vị giáo hoàng người Ba Lan sẽ có mặt
trong tinh thần tại WYD 2016 khi những người trẻ viếng mộ thánh Faustina
Kowalska tại Đền Thánh Lòng Thương Xót đã được khánh thành bởi chính Thánh
Giáo Hoàng Gioan Phaolô II trong chuyến thăm cuối cùng của ngài về quê hương
mình vào năm 2002. <br>

Ngoài các chương trình bình thường của Đại Hội Giới Trẻ Thế Giới như học
giáo lý, đàng thánh giá, đêm canh thức, lễ bế mạc, tại Krakow cũng sẽ có một
chương trình suy niệm và lần hạt Mân Côi kính Lòng Thương Xót Chúa.<br>

Nhiều Toà Giải Tội sẽ được thiết lập và Đức Thánh Cha Phanxicô có thể sẽ ban
bí tích hòa giải cho một số bạn trẻ. Một biểu tượng Cửa Thánh Lòng Thương
Xót sẽ được xây dựng tại đền thờ, nơi Đức Thánh Cha sẽ chủ sự buổi chầu
Thánh Thể vào thứ Bảy 30 tháng 7. Sau Thánh lễ Bế Mạc, Đức Thánh Cha
Phanxicô sẽ trao những ngọn đèn thắp sáng cho năm cặp vợ chồng trẻ từ khắp
năm châu để tượng trưng việc sai đi tất cả những người tham gia WYD như
những nhà truyền giáo của lòng thương xót Chúa trên khắp thế giới.</font></td>
