<font face="Arial">Vị tân Tổng Trưởng Bộ Thông Tin là Đức Ông Dario Edoardo
Viganò, một linh mục người Ý, nhà văn và là giáo sư Đại Học về công nghệ
thông tin. <br>

Sau khi hoàn thành các môn triết học và thần học tại Đại học Milan, ngài
được Đức Hồng Y Carlo Maria Martini, tổng giám mục giáo phận Milan, truyền
chức linh mục vào ngày 13 tháng 6 năm 1987. <br>
<br>
Trong luận văn tiến sĩ của mình, cha Dario Edoardo Viganò đã nghiên cứu về
lịch sử của điện ảnh. Luận văn của ngài gây một tiếng vang lớn và đã được
nhà xuất bản Castoro phát hành năm 1997. Ngay sau đó, ngài làm việc tại Văn
phòng Truyền thông Xã hội của Giáo phận Ambrosiô và tham gia tích cực vào
các hoạt động điện ảnh.<br>
<br>
Từ giữa năm 1990, ngài bắt đầu dạy môn “Đạo đức và nghĩa vụ học của Truyền
Thông” tại Đại học Công Giáo Thánh Tâm ở Milan. Năm 1998, ngài bắt đầu giảng
dạy tại Khoa Nghiên cứu Truyền thông của Đại học Lumsa.<br>

Từ năm 2000 trở đi, ngài bắt đầu giảng dạy tại Đại học Giáo hoàng Lateranô ở
Rôma về công nghệ truyền thông. <br>
<br>
Ngày 22 tháng 1 năm 2013, ngài được Đức Giáo Hoàng Bênêđíctô thứ 16 cử làm
giám đốc Trung Tâm Truyền Hình Vatican.<br>

<b>Dưới đây là toàn văn tông thư của Đức Thánh Cha Phanxicô.</b><br>
<br>
Bối cảnh truyền thông hiện nay, đặc trưng bởi sự hiện diện và sự phát triển
của các phương tiện truyền thông kỹ thuật số, bởi các yếu tố của sự hội tụ
và tương tác, đòi hỏi phải có một sự tái xét hệ thống thông tin của Tòa
Thánh và đưa ra một sự tái tổ chức, trong đó vừa công nhận lịch sử phát
triển nội bộ tài nguyên thông tin Tòa Thánh, vừa phải quyết liệt tiến hành
theo hướng hội nhập và thống nhất quản lý.<br>
<br>
Vì những lý do này, tôi mong rằng tất cả các tổ chức cho đến nay liên quan
đến việc thông tin liên lạc cách này cách khác, được nhập lại với nhau trong
một Thánh Bộ mới của Giáo Triều Rôma, được gọi là Bộ Thông Tin. Như thế, hệ
thống truyền thông của Tòa Thánh sẽ đáp ứng hiệu quả hơn bao giờ những nhu
cầu của sứ vụ Giáo Hội.<br>

Do đó, sau khi xem xét các báo cáo và nghiên cứu, và sau khi nhận được gần
đây báo cáo nghiên cứu về tính khả thi của điều này và đã nghe các ý kiến
đồng thanh nhất trí của Hội đồng các Hồng Y, tôi thiết lập Bộ Thông Tin và
truyền rằng:<br>

Thánh vào ngày 30 Tháng 4 năm 2015, sẽ được nhập vào Bộ Thông Tin: Hội đồng
Giáo hoàng về Truyền thông Xã hội, Phòng Báo chí Tòa Thánh, Dịch vụ Internet
Vatican, Radio Vatican, Trung Tâm Truyền Hình Vatican (CTV), báo Quan Sát
Viên Rôma, Nhà In Vatican, Dịch vụ Chụp hình, và nhà xuất bản Vatican
(Libreria Editrice Vaticana).<br>

Các tổ chức trên, từ ngày công bố Tự Sắc này, phải tiếp tục các hoạt động
riêng của mình,, tuy nhiên, với sự chỉ đạo của Bộ Thông Tin.<br>

Bộ mới, theo thỏa thuận với Phủ Quốc Vụ Khanh Tòa Thánh, sẽ đảm trách trang

Bộ Thông Tin sẽ bắt đầu nhiệm vụ của mình vào ngày 29 tháng Sáu năm 2015, và
đặt trụ sở tạm tại địa chỉ Palazzo Pio, Piazza Pia, 3, 00.120 Vatican.<br>

Tất cả những điều tôi đã trình bày trong Tông Thư dưới dạng Tự Sắc này, tôi
