chính phủ Malaysia và Indonesia đã đồng ý tiếp nhận người tị nạn Rohingya,
đó là một bước tiến lớn. Người Mã Lai, thuộc mọi tôn giáo, đã tỏ lòng thương

phận Kuala Lumpur, tỏ ra vui mừng trước thông tin về việc đã có giải pháp
cho cuộc khủng hoảng về những người Hồi giáo Rohingya tị nạn, lênh đênh
nhiều ngày qua trong các vùng biển ở khu vực Đông Nam Á. Cha nói: “Những
người di dân này là những con người và họ có quyền được sống, có một phẩm
giá. Chúa nhật vùa qua trong các nhà thờ của Malaysia, chúng tôi đã cầu
nguyện cho họ”.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Sau những lời kêu gọi của cộng đồng quốc tế, từ Liên hiệp
quốc cũng như từ Đại học Al-Azhar ở Cairo, các chính phủ Malaysia và
Indonesia đã từ bỏ chính sách đẩy người tị nạn ra biển, đồng ý cung cấp chỗ
tạm trú cho hàng ngàn người di dân bị mắc kẹt ngoài biển. Tuy nhiên, các
chính phủ này cũng đòi được quốc tế giúp đỡ, họ nói rằng “đây là cuộc khủng
hoảng toàn cầu, chứ không phải trong khu vực”.</font></p>

nhân đạo cho 7.000 người di dân trên biển”, Bộ trưởng Ngoại giao Malaysia,
Anifah Aman, sau một cuộc họp ba bên với các Bộ trưởng của Indonesia và Thái
Lan, đã cho biết như trên. Hai nước này đã đồng ý cung cấp “nơi ở tạm, với
điều kiện là quá trình tái định cư và hồi hương sẽ phải hoàn tất trong vòng
một năm”.</font></p>

cho người tị nạn trú chân trên nước mình, vì đã có hàng chục ngàn người tị
nạn từ Myanmar đang ở Thái Lan rồi.</font></p>

được hơn 430 di dân Rohingya trong ngày thứ Tư 20-05, đưa họ vào bờ của đảo
Sumatra an toàn.</font></p>

đã đổ bộ vào ba quốc gia này trong những tuần lễ vừa qua. Người ta tin rằng
hầu hết những di dân này là nạn nhân của bọn buôn người, bọn này tuyển dụng
họ ở Myanmar và Bangladesh với lời hứa cung cấp việc làm cho họ tại Malaysia
hay các nước khác trong khu vực. Theo cơ quan Cao uỷ tị nạn Liên hiệp quốc,
hơn 120 nghìn người Hồi giáo Rohingya đã rời Myanmar bằng đường biển trong
ba năm qua.</font></td>
