<font face="Arial">Vết thương của Chúa Giêsu là “giá” mà Ngài đã phải trả
cho Giáo Hội được hiệp nhất mãi mãi với Ngài và với Chúa Cha. Kitô hữu ngày
nay được kêu gọi để xin ơn hiệp nhất và chiến đấu chống lại tất cả “tinh
thần chia rẽ, chiến tranh, và ghen tị.”. Đức Thánh Cha Phanxicô đã nói như
trên trong thánh lễ sáng Thứ Năm 21 tháng Năm tại nhà nguyện Santa Marta.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Đức Thánh Cha Phanxicô nói rằng “lời cầu nguyện lớn của
Đức Giêsu” là Giáo Hội được hiệp nhất - là các Kitô hữu được “nên một” như
Chúa Giêsu với Chúa Cha. Trình bày những suy tư của ngài trên các bài đọc
trong ngày, Đức Thánh Cha Phanxicô đã đưa cộng đoàn trở lại không khí của
bữa tiệc ly - không lâu trước khi Đức Kitô trao ban cho chính Ngài trong
cuộc Thương Khó. Nhắc lại lời nói nghiêm trọng mà Đức Kitô ủy thác cho các
Tông Đồ, Đức Thánh Cha cảnh báo chúng ta chống lại các chước cám dỗ của thế
gian là sấp mình thờ lạy “người cha khác” là ma quỷ, là đứa gian trá và gây
chia rẽ.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Đức Thánh Cha nhận xét rằng thật an ủi khi nghe Chúa
Giêsu thưa với Chúa Cha rằng Ngài không muốn chỉ cầu nguyện cho các môn đệ
của Ngài mà thôi nhưng còn cho cả những ai sẽ tin vào Ngài “thông qua lời
của các môn đệ” Ngài. Đó là một cụm từ quen thuộc, nhưng Đức Giáo Hoàng nhận
định rằng lời ấy có một giá trị đặc biệt đáng chú ý đến.</font></p>

Giêsu đã cầu nguyện cho tôi! Điều này thực sự là một nguồn mạch đem lại sự
tự tin cho chúng ta. Người cầu nguyện cho tôi, Người cầu nguyện cho tôi. ..
Tôi tưởng tượng ra hình ảnh khi Chúa Giêsu đứng trước mặt Chúa Cha trên
Thiên Đàng. Ngài cầu nguyện cho chúng ta, Ngài cầu nguyện cho tôi và những
gì Chúa Cha thấy là vết thương, là giá Chúa Giêsu đã phải trả cho chúng ta.
Chúa Giêsu cầu nguyện cho tôi với những vết thương của Ngài, và với trái tim
đầy thương tích của Ngài và Ngài sẽ tiếp tục làm như vậy.”</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Chúa Giêsu cầu nguyện “cho sự hiệp nhất của dân Ngài, cho
Giáo Hội.” Nhưng Chúa Giêsu biết rằng “tinh thần của thế gian” là “tinh thần
của chia rẽ, chiến tranh, ghen tị, ganh ghét ngay cả trong gia đình, ngay cả
trong cộng đoàn tôn giáo, thậm chí trong các giáo phận trong toàn thể Giáo
Hội: đó là sự cám dỗ lớn. “Đó là điều dẫn chúng ta đến với ngồi lê đôi mách,
gán cho nhau những nhãn hiệu, chụp mũ người khác. Đó là những thái độ và
hành vi mà chúng ta được mời gọi để xa lánh”</font></p>
