<font face="Arial">ĐTC Phanxicô đã khích lệ như trên trong sứ điệp truyền
hình trực tiếp lễ khai mạc cuộc triển lãm quốc tế 2015 tại Milano bắc Italia
lúc 12 giờ rưỡi trưa hôm qua mùng 1 tháng 5 lễ Lao động quốc tế. Ngài kêu
gọi mọi người thay đổi tâm thức và đừng nghĩ rằng các hành động thường ngày
của mình, trên mọi mức độ trách nhiệm, không gây ra hậu quả đối với biết bao
nhiêu người nghèo đói, đau yếu và phải chết vì thiếu ăn trên thế giới.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">ĐTC biết ơn ban tổ chức vì đã cho ngài có dịp hợp tiếng
với tất cả những ai tham dự buổi lễ khánh thành này. Đây là tiếng nói của
Giám Mục Roma, lên tiếng nhân danh dân Thiên Chúa lữ hành trên toàn thế giới;
là tiếng nói của biết bao nhiêu người nghèo, thành phần của dân Chúa với
phẩm giá tìm của ăn nuôi thân bằng mồ hôi trán của mình. ĐTC nói: Tôi muốn
là tiếng nói của các anh chị em, kitô cũng như không kitô, mà Thiên Chúa yêu
thương như con cái và đã trao ban sự sống cho họ, đã ban phát cho họ bánh là
thịt của Người Con làm người. Ngài là Đấng đã dậy chúng ta xin Thiên Chúa
Cha “Xin ban cho chúng con lương thực hằng ngày”.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">ĐTC ghi nhận rằng đề tài của cuộc triển lãm quốc tế “Nuôi
sống hành tinh, năng lực cho sự sống” thật là quan trọng và nòng cốt, miễn
là nó không phải chỉ là một đề tài, nhưng luôn được đi kèm bởi ý thức về các
gương mặt: gương mặt của hàng triệu người ngày nay đang đói, ngày nay không
thể ăn uống xứng đáng như con người. Tôi ước mong rằng, bắt đầu từ ngày hôm
nay, mỗi một người ghé thăm cuộc triển lãm quốc tế Milano khi đi ngang qua
các khu triển lãm tuyệt vời ấy, có thể nhận ra sự hiện diện của các gương
mặt này. Một sự hiện diện dấu ẩn, nhưng trong thực tại phải là tác nhân đích
thật của biến cố: các gương mặt của những người nam nữ đói khát, đau yếu và
chết vì thiếu thực phẩm hay vì thực phẩm độc hại.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">“Cái mâu thuẫn của sự dồi dào” mà Đức Gioan Phaolô II nói
tới trong diễn văn đọc trước tổ chức Lương Nông Quốc Tế FAO trong hội nghị
về dinh dưỡng lần thứ I năm 1992, vẫn tồn tại mặc dù đã có các nỗ lực và vài
kết quả tốt. Trong vài khiá cạnh, cuộc triển lãm quốc tế Milano cũng là phần
“cái mẫu thuẫn của sự phong phú” đó, nếu nó chỉ tuân phục nền văn hóa gạt
bỏ, và không góp phần vào một mô thức phát triển công bằng và có thể chịu
đựng nổi. Vì thế chúng ta hãy làm sao để cuộc triển lãm này là dịp thay đổi
não trạng, giúp mọi người ý thức rằng các hành động của chúng ta trên mọi
bình diện trách nhiệm đều có hậu quả trên cuộc sống của những người gần xa
đang đói. Tôi nghĩ tới biết bao nhiêu người nam nữ đang bị đói, đặc biệt là
đông đảo các trẻ em đang chết đói trên thế giới.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Tiếp đến ĐTC đã nhắc đến các gương mặt có vai trò quan
trọng trong cuộc triển lãm này: gương mặt của các nhân viên và các nhà
nghiên cứu trong lãnh vực lương thực. Ngài xin Chúa ban cho từng người sự
khôn ngoan và lòng can đảm, vì trách nhiệm của họ rất lớn lao. ĐTC cầu mong
rằng kinh nghiệm này cho phép các nhà thầu, các doanh thương, các nhà nghiên
cứu, cảm thấy được lôi cuốn vào một dự án vĩ đại của tình liên đới: là dự án
nuôi sống hành tinh trong sự tôn trọng mọi người và tôn trọng môi trường
thiên nhiên. Đây là một thách đố lớn mà Thiên Chúa kêu mời nhân lọai của thế
