giao của mình để làm việc với Trung quốc. Nhưng bối cảnh này đòi hỏi phải
rất đặc biệt: đối thoại với chế độ cộng sản chỉ mới ở cấp thấp trong khi áp
lực với cộng đồng công giáo thì lại nặng hơn. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Như thường lệ, trước mỗi buổi tiếp kiến chung ngày thứ tư,
Đức Phanxicô chào các giáo hữu hiện diện ở Quảng trường Thánh Phêrô. Nhưng
giữa các tiếng reo hò của đám đông, Đức Phanxicô ngừng lại ở một nhóm nhỏ
giáo hữu Trung quốc và ngài đến chào họ ngay. Không phải chỉ một cuộc gặp gỡ
đơn giản, nhưng chỉ một chi tiết tượng trưng này cho thấy ý hướng mới cho
con đường ngoại giao mà Đức Phanxicô muốn nhắm để đi tới. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Sau khi tháo được kíp để có đối thoại giữa Cuba và Mỹ,
bây giờ Đức Thánh Cha tập trung hết tinh thần của mình để tìm đường hòa giải
với Trung quốc. Tháng 8 vừa qua, Đức Phanxicô đã trả lời, nếu được phép ngài
sẽ “đi ngay ngày hôm sau” đến đất nước có một tỷ rưỡi dân mà Vatican chưa có
quan hệ ngoại giao từ 63 năm nay. Nhưng vẫn còn nhiều điểm bất đồng làm rắc
rối cho cuộc đối thoại. Trong những rắc rối này có việc bổ nhiệm các giám
mục, mà theo Vatican, đó là quyền tối thượng của Giáo hoàng. Nhưng chính
quyền Trung quốc muốn thiết lập một nền “thần học Kitô” phù hợp với “văn hóa
Trung quốc” và với “chủ nghĩa xã hội”. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Thật ra Đảng Cộng sản Trung quốc sợ sự nổi dậy chống
chính quyền, đe dọa cho an ninh trật tự đã được ổn định. Giáo hội công giáo
Trung quốc không phải là không lách luật: Nếu thống kê chính thức đưa ra con
số 23 triệu tín hữu ở Trung quốc thì các chuyên gia độc lập ước lượng con số
này có thể lên đến 100 triệu. Như vậy là đã hơn hẳn con số 85 triệu đảng
viên Đảng Cộng sản. Từ năm 2014, chính quyền đã phát động một phong trào bài
Kitô ở tỉnh Chiết Giang, nơi chính quyền địa phương đã cho triệt hạ 400 cây
thập giá ở các cơ sở tôn giáo làm cho vấn đề đối thoại trở nên cấp bách
hơn. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Ngoài ra còn nhiều điểm lôi kéo sự chú ý của Đức Phanxicô
thúc đẩy ngài hành động trong những tháng sắp tới. Hồng y Quốc vụ khanh
Pietro Parolin, cánh tay mặt của Đức Phanxicô và là nhà ngoại giao lỗi lạc
xác nhận sự “liên lạc thường xuyên” với các đại diện Trung quốc luôn được
tiến hành và một “mong muốn đối thoại” vẫn tồn tại. “Một đối thoại theo nhịp
riêng của nó, nhưng chúng tôi hy vọng sẽ có kết quả,” hồng y cho biết như
trên, vì thế có thể có một hành động mới về mặt ngoại giao của Đức Phanxicô
