<font face="Arial">Bài giáo lý hôm nay như là một cửa ngỏ cho một loạt những
suy tư về đời sống gia đình, về đời sống thực sự của nó, với thời điểm của
nó cùng với các hoàn cảnh của nó. Bên trên cửa ngõ này có 3 chữ đã được tôi
sử dụng mấy lần rồi. Các chữ này là: xin phép, cám ơn, xin lỗi. Thật vậy,
những chữ này là những gì khai lối mở đường cho việc sống tốt đẹp trong gia
đình. Chúng là những chữ đơn sơ giản dị, nhưng không dễ mang ra thực hành
đâu. Chúng bao gồm một sức mạnh cả thể: một sức mạnh để chăm sóc gia đình là
nơi trải qua hằng ngàn những khó khăn và thử thách. Tuy nhiên, nếu thiếu
vắng sức mạnh này thì sẽ xẩy ra những rạn nứt có thể thậm chí làm cho nó bị
suy sụp.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Chúng ta thường hiểu chúng như là những chữ bày tỏ "các
hành xử tốt đẹp". Nghĩ như thế cũng phải thôi. Một con người lịch sự thì ngỏ
lời xin phép, cám ơn và xin lỗi nếu họ phạm phải một lầm lỗi nào đó, vì phép
lịch sự rất quan trọng. Một vị đại Giám Mục là Thánh Phanxicô Salêsiô thường
nói rằng "phép lịch sự là nửa đường thánh thiện rồi vậy". Tuy nhiên, hãy coi
chừng, trong lịch sử chúng ta cũng đã từng biết đến một thứ ngoại diện của
việc hành xử tốt đẹp là những gì có thể trở thành một thứ mặt nạ che giấu
cái cằn cỗi của linh hồn và sự lạnh lùng với người khác. Có một câu nói như
thế này: "ẩn nấp ở đằng sau nhiều việc hành xử tốt đẹp là những thói xấu".
Thậm chí cả tôn giáo cũng không thoát được cái nguy cơ ấy, thứ nguy cơ liên
quan tới một thứ chu toàn về hình thức theo chiều hướng thế tục thiêng
liêng.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Ma quỉ là tên cám dỗ Chúa Giêsu đã tỏ ra cho thấy cách
hành xử tốt đẹp của hắn - hắn là một vị chúa thực sự, là một chính nhân quân
tử - và trích dẫn lời Thánh Kinh đàng hoàng; hắn tỏ ra như thể là một thần
học gia. Kiểu cách của hắn có vẻ đúng đắn, thế nhưng ý đồ của hắn là làm sai
trệch đi sự thật về tình yêu của Thiên Chúa. Tuy nhiên, chúng ta hiểu được
phép lịch sự theo đúng ý nghĩa đích thực của nó, đó là đường lối của những
mối liên hệ tốt đẹp được bắt nguồn vững chắc từ lòng yêu mến sự thiện và tôn
trọng người khác. Gia đình sống tốt đẹp nhờ ở tính chất lành mạnh yêu thương
này. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Chữ đầu tiên là "xin phép - may I". Khi chúng ta lưu ý
đến việc ngỏ lời xin một cách lịch sự về những gì chúng ta nghĩ rằng chúng
ta xứng đáng thì chúng ta tỏ ra thực sự bảo vệ tinh thần chung sống hôn nhân
và gia đình. Để tiến vào đời sống của người khác, cũng như khi họ trở thành
một phần đời của chúng ta, cần phải tỏ ra tế nhị bằng một thái độ không mang
tính cách xâm lược, một thái độ tái lập lòng tin tưởng và trọng kính. Lòng
tin tưởng không cho phép coi thường hết mọi sự. Mà tình yêu càng thân mật và
sâu xa thì nó càng đòi phải tôn trọng tự do của người khác và đòi phải có
khả năng chờ đợi họ mở cửa lòng mình ra. Về vấn đề này, chúng ta hãy nhớ lại
lời Chúa Giêsu nói trong Sách Khải Huyền: "Này Ta đứng ở cửa mà gõ. Nếu ai
nghe thấy tiếng của Ta mà mở cửa cho Ta thì ta sẽ đi với họ, ăn với họ và họ
ở cùng Ta". Chúa cũng xin phép để tiến vào! Chúng ta đừng quên điều ấy nhé.
Trước khi làm gì trong gia đình, hãy xin phép, anh/em có làm như thế được
chăng? Anh/em có thích anh/em làm điều ấy như thế này hay chăng? Nó thực sự
là một ngôn từ lịch sự nhưng tràn đầy yêu thương. Điều ấy giúp ích rất nhiều
cho gia đình.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Chữ thứ hai là cám ơn - thank you. Thường chúng ta có thể
nghĩ rằng chúng ta đang trở thành một thứ văn minh của những hành xử tệ hại
và của những ngôn từ đồi bại, như thể nó là một dấu hiệu về một cuộc giải
phóng. Chúng ta nghe thấy chúng cũng được phát ngôn một cách công khai. Phép
lịch sự và khả năng ngỏ lời cám ơn được thấy như là một dấu hiệu yếu kém,
đôi khi chúng còn thậm chí gợi lên cả niềm bất tín nữa.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Khuynh hướng này phản lại với chính cái cốt lõi của gia
đình. Chúng ta cần phải tỏ ra bất khoan nhượng khi xẩy ra vấn đề liên quan
đến việc giáo dục về lòng biết ơn, về sự nhận biết: cả hai vấn đề phẩm vị
của con người và công lý xã hội đều phải gặp nhau ở chỗ này. Nếu đời sống
gia đình lơ là với lối sống này thì đời sống xã hội cũng bị mất đi lối sống
ấy. Hơn nữa, đối với một tín hữu thì lòng biết ơn lại ở chính tâm điểm của
niềm tin: một Kitô hữu mà không biết tri ân cảm tạ là một con người đã quên
mất ngôn từ của Thiên Chúa. Xin hãy nghe kỹ điều tôi nói đây! Một Kitô hữu

<font face="Arial">Chúng ta hãy nhớ lại câu Chúa Giêsu hỏi sau khi Người
chữa lành cho 10 người tật phong mà chỉ có một người duy nhất trở lại ngỏ
lời tạ ơn Người. Có lần tôi đã nghe thấy một vị lão thành nói, rất khéo léo,
rất tốt lành và đơn sơ giản dị, nhưng đầy khôn ngoan của lòng đạo hạnh, của
đời sống... "lòng biết ơn là một thứ cây tăng trưởng chỉ ở mảnh đất của
những tâm hồn cao thượng" - cái cao thượng của tâm hồn ấy, ân sủng của Thiên
Chúa trong tâm hồn này là những gì thúc đẩy con người lên tiếng: Cám ơn với
niềm tri ân. Nó là bông hoa của một linh hồn cao thượng. Đó là một cái gì
đáng mến.</font></p>

trở thành những khoảng cách rộng lớn.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Không phải là vô bổ mà trong "Kinh Lạy Cha", kinh nguyện
được Chúa Giêsu dạy đọc gồm tóm tất cả những vấn đề thiết yếu của đời sống
chúng ta, chúng ta thấy được lời nguyện này: "Xin Cha tha nợ chúng con như
chúng con cũng tha kẻ có nợ chúng con". Chúng ta cần phải nhìn nhận rằng
chúng ta đã sai trái và tỏ ra lo lắng muốn lấy lại những gì chúng ta đã gây
ra - như lòng tôn trọng, niềm thành tín, tình yêu thương - để nhờ đó chúng
ta đáng được thứ tha. Như thế là ngăn chặn được việc lây lan. Nếu chúng ta
không có khả năng xin lỗi, thì có nghĩa là chúng ta cũng không có khả năng
tha thứ. Trong một gia đình mà thiếu thứ tha thì bắt đầu thiếu khí thở và
nước nôi bị ứ đọng. Nhiều vết thương về cảm xúc, nhiều chỗ rạn nứt trong gia
đình bắt đầu bằng sự thiếu vắng chữ xin lỗi quí báu này. Trong đời sống gia
đình thường xẩy ra các cuộc cãi nhau, xẩy ra tình trạng "bát đĩa" cũng
"bay", nhưng tôi xin cống hiến lời khuyên như thế này, đó là đừng kết thúc
ngày sống mà không làm hòa với nhau. Anh chị em xin nghe kỹ đây. Là vợ chồng
với nhau anh chị em có cãi nhau hay chăng? - Con cái với cha mẹ nữa? Anh chị
em có cãi nhau một cách dữ dội hay chăng? Nó là vấn đề không đúng thật đấy
nhưng nó cũng không có vấn đề gì hết: vấn đề là ở chỗ tình cảm không được
như thế nữa vào ngày hôm sau, thế thôi. Bởi vậy, nếu anh chị em cãi nhau,
thì ngày sống không được kết thúc mà không làm hòa với nhau trong gia đình.
Mà làm sao tôi có thể làm hòa đây? Chẳng lẽ tôi quì xuống hay sao? Không cần!
- chỉ một cử chỉ nhỏ bé thôi, một điều nho nhỏ thôi. Thì kìa bầu khí hòa hợp
trong gia đình được tái tạo! Một cử chỉ săn sóc cũng đủ, không cần nói,
nhưng đừng bao giờ kết thúc ngày sống mà không làm hòa với nhau trong gia
đình nhé. Anh chị em có hiểu hay chăng? Này, không dễ gì đâu đấy nhé! Thế
nhưng nó lại cần phải thực hiện. Để rồi nhờ đời sống như thế mà gia đình
càng trở thành đẹp đẽ hơn nữa.</font></p>

giản dị thật đấy, mà có lẽ thoạt tiên chúng làm cho chúng ta mỉm cười. Tuy
nhiên, một khi chúng ta mà quên mất chúng thì không có gì đáng bật cười hơn
nữa, có đúng không? Có lẽ việc giáo dục của chúng ta quá coi thường chúng.
Xin Thiên Chúa giúp chúng ta đưa chúng trở lại đúng vị trí của chúng, trong
lòng của chúng ta, trong gia đình của chúng ta, cũng như trong đời sống
chung về dân sự của chúng ta. Giờ đây tôi xin mời tất cả mọi người hãy cùng
nhau lập lại ba chữ này nhé: "Xin phép, cám ơn, xin lỗi"... nào tất cả mọi
người! "Xin phép, cám ơn, xin lỗi". Chúng là ba chữ để thực sự tiến vào tình
yêu thương của gia đình, nhờ đó gia đình sẽ được tốt đẹp. Vậy tất cả mọi
người cùng nhau lập lại lời tôi khuyên nhủ nghe: đừng bao giờ kết thúc ngày
sống mà không làm hòa với nhau. Nào mọi người lập lại: "Đừng bao giờ kết
thúc ngày sống mà không làm hòa với nhau". Xin cám ơn anh chị em. </font></p>
