tiên vào năm 2013, Ngân hàng Vatican, một ngân hàng dành riêng để lo các
công việc của Giáo hội đã công bố bản báo cáo năm 2014 với con số thu lợi kỷ
lục 69,3 triệu ơrô, hai mười lần hơn so với năm 2013 (2,3 triệu ơrô). Từ đây,
Ngân hàng Vatican bước vào chu kỳ tái cấu trúc để đuổi các bóng ma cũ trong
quá khứ. Bản báo cáo cho biết kết quả có được là do sự “thay đổi tích cực
trong việc quản lý các hồ sơ tài chánh và giảm chi tiêu các việc ngoại lệ”,

de Frassu điều khiển, Ngân hàng đã công bố để 55 triệu vào ngân sách và giữ
trong quỹ dự trữ 14.3 triệu ơrô. Ngày 31 tháng 12 vừa qua, các tài khoản
ròng là 695 triệu ơrô so với 720 triệu của cuối năm 2013. Giám đốc Ngân hàng
xác nhận có một sự “cố gắng lớn để loại bỏ thói quen làm việc không minh

<font face="Arial">Công việc thanh lọc sẽ xong và ý của Đức Bênêđictô XVI là
muốn làm “sạch Ngân hàng của Chúa”. Dưới triều giáo hoàng của ngài, Vatican
đã bắt đầu có chương trình chống lại nạn rửa tiền, nhất là của mafia. Công
việc này lại càng được làm mạnh hơn dưới triều Đức Phanxicô. Từ khi được bầu

<font face="Arial">Chiến dịch làm sạch Ngân hàng Vatican là một tiến trình
lâu dài và chiến lược dài hạn. Nhà Nước Vatican đã bình thường hóa tình
trạng thuế vụ với Ý. Hiện nay Ngân hàng quản lý 6 tỷ ơrô và có 15.181 khách
hàng. Như thế từ nay Ngân hàng đã được bình thường hóa, để lại đàng sau các
tai tiếng của mình. Từ tháng 2 năm nay, các vị có trách nhiệm của Vatican đã
theo học nhiều khóa quản trị và tài chánh ở Đại học Latran. Sắp tới một kỳ
thực tập cũng được dự trù tổ chức ở một Đại học Mỹ để đẩy xa hơn tiến trình
