<font face="Arial">Bài Tin Mừng hôm nay trình bày cho chúng ta Chúa Giêsu
trong Bữa Tiệc Ly, trong lúc Ngài biết rằng cái chết đã gần kề. ”giờ” của
Ngài đã đến. Ngài ở với các môn đệ lần chót, và vì thế Chúa muốn ghi tạc vào
tâm trí họ một chân lý cơ bản: đó là cả khi Ngài không còn hiện diện thể lý
giữa họ, họ vẫn có thể kết hiệp với Ngài một cách mới mẻ, và nhờ đó mang lại
nhiều hoa trái. Và tất cả chúng ta có thể kết hiệp với Chúa một cách mới mẻ.
Nếu một người đánh mất sự hiệp thông ấy với Chúa, thì sẽ trở nên son sẻ, và
gây hại cho cộng đoàn nữa. Đâu là cách thế mới mẻ ấy? Để diễn tả thực tại ấy,
Chúa Giêsu dùng hình ảnh gốc nho và các ngành: ”Cũng như ngành nho không thể
tự mình sinh hoa trái nếu không gắn liền với gốc nho, các con cũng thế nếu
không ở lại trong Thầy. Thầy là gốc nho và các con là ngành” (Ga 15,4-5).
Với hình ảnh đó, Chúa dạy chúng ta cách ở lại trong Ngài, kết hiệp với Ngài,
mặc dù Chúa không hiện diện thể lý.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">”Chúa Giêsu là gốc nho, và qua Ngài, như nhựa sống của
cây, được chuyển đến các ngành tình thương của chính Thiên Chúa, Chúa Thánh
Linh. Và chúng ta là ngành, và qua dụ ngôn này Chúa Giêsu muốn làm cho chúng
ta hiểu tầm quan trọng của sự kết hiệp với Ngài. Các ngành cây không độc lập
nhưng hoàn toàn tùy thuộc vào gốc nho, trong đó có nguồn sống. Cũng thế đối
với các tín hữu Kitô chúng ta. Được tháp nhập vào Chúa Kitô nhờ phép rửa,
chúng ta nhận được từ nơi Chúa một cách nhưng không hồng ân sự sống mới; và
chúng ta được ở trong tình hiệp thông sinh tử với Chúa Kitô. Cần phải trung
thành với phép Rửa, và tăng trưởng trong tình bạn với Chúa nhờ kinh nguyện,
kinh nguyện hằng ngày, lắng nghe và ngoan ngoãn vâng Lời Chúa, đọc Tin Mừng,
tham gia các bí tích, nhất là phép Thánh Thể và Hòa Giải.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">”Nếu một người kết hiệp mật thiết với Chúa Giêsu, thì
được hưởng những ơn của Chúa Thánh Linh, như thánh Phaolô đã nói, những ơn
này là ”tình thương, vui mừng, hòa bình, quảng đại, hiền lành, từ nhân,
trung thành, dịu hiền, tự chủ” (Gl 5,22); đó là những ơn được ban cho chúng
ta, nếu chúng ta kết hiệp với Chúa Giêsu và vì vậy một người kết hiệp như
thế với Chúa thì mưu ích nhiều cho tha nhân và xã hội, đó là một Kitô hữu
chân thực. Thực vậy, qua những thái độ ấy người ta biết đó là một Kitô hữu
đích thực, cũng như qua hoa trái người ta biết được cây thế nào. Hoa trái
của sự kết hiệp sâu đậm với Chúa Giêsu thật là tuyệt vời; toàn thể con người
chúng ta được biến đổi nhờ ơn Chúa Thánh Linh: linh hồn, trí tuệ, ý chí,
tình cảm, và cả thân thể nữa, vì tinh thần và thân xác chúng ta là một.
Chúng ta nhận được một cách sống mới, sự sống của Chúa Kitô trở nên cuộc
sống chúng ta: chúng ta có thể nghĩ như Chúa, hành động như Chúa, nhìn thế

một gốc nho duy nhất; và tất cả chúng ta đều được kêu gọi sinh hoa trái của

phước Luigi Bordino, giáo dân thánh hiến trong Dòng các tu huynh thánh Giuse
Cottolengo. Người đã hiến cuộc sống cho các bệnh nhân và người đau khổ, và
không ngừng xả thân cho người nghèo, chữa trị và rửa các vết thương của họ.
Chúng ta hãy cảm tạ Chúa vì người môn đệ khiêm tốn và quảng đại này.</font></p>

đến viếng thăm giáo xứ Đức Mẹ nữ vương hòa bình ở vùng biển Ostia Lido, một
giáo xứ ngoại ô cách trung tâm thành Roma khoảng 30 cây số.</font></p>

ngàn tín hữu Công Giáo trên tổng số 25 ngàn dân và thánh đường giáo xứ này
là nhà thờ đầu tiên được xây cất tại Ostia và từng là Nhà Thờ hiệu tòa của
Đức Cố Hồng Y Phaolô Phạm Đình Tụng trong 15 năm trời, từ 1994 cho đến khi
Ngài qua đời năm 2009.</font></p>
