tại Giêrusalem, Đức Thượng Phụ Fouad Twal của Công Giáo Nghi Lễ La Tinh tại
Thánh Điạ Giêrusalem đã cử hành Lễ Lá với các linh mục dòng Phanxicô trong
đoàn Hiệp Sĩ Quản Thủ Thánh Mộ.</font></p>

rước lá chung quanh bàn thờ Thánh Nữ Maria Mađalêna. Hàng ngàn người đã tham
dự thánh lễ. Tuy nhiên phần lớn là khách hành hương vì số người Palestine
tại dải Gaza xin được phép vào tham dự lễ rất hạn chế. An ninh chặt chẽ với

<font face="Arial">Ngay sau khi thánh lễ vừa chấm dứt, các tín hữu hành
hương đã lũ lượt kéo lên Núi Ôliu để chuẩn bị cho cuộc rước truyền thống từ
ngọn núi này tiến về Giêrusalem bắt đầu lúc 2 giờ chiều. Cuộc rước này là để
diễn lại việc Chúa Giêsu khải hoàn tiến vào thành Giêrusalem. Đoàn rước vừa
đi vừa hô vang “Hôsana” bằng nhiều ngôn ngữ khác nhau tạo nên một cảnh tượng
rất hoành tráng và cảm động.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Do Thái vừa trải qua một cuộc tuyển cử hôm 17 tháng Ba
trong đó thủ tướng khét tiếng diều hâu là Benjamin Netanyahu của đảng Likud
đã tái đắc cử. Biến cố này làm thất vọng nhiều người Palestine và gợi lên
những hăm dọa tấn công khủng bố của nhóm vũ trang Palestine Hezbollah. Thêm
vào đó, thời gian này cũng là dịp lễ Vượt Qua của người Do Thái. Do đó, an
ninh đã được tăng cường cao độ. Binh lính và cảnh sát Do Thái đứng đầy đường.</font></p>

tham dự cuộc rước này. Năm 2013, con số lên đến 35,000 người. Năm ngoái, có
không dưới 50,000 người tham dự. Năm nay, tuy chưa có con số chính thức
nhưng có lẽ còn cao hơn.</font></p>
