vui tươi lễ hội, là những lời chúng ta đã nghe thấy trong bài ca của Bức Thư
gửi Giáo Đoàn Phliphê: "Người đã tự hạ" (2:8). Việc tự hạ của Chúa Giêsu. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Khiêm hạ trước hết là đường lối của Thiên Chúa: Thiên
Chúa hạ mình bước đi với dân của Ngài, chịu đựng tính bất trung của họ. Điều
này thật là rõ ràng khi chúng ta đọc thấy trong Sách Xuất Hành. Chúa hạ mình
biết bao khi nghe thấy tất cả những lời càu nhàu, tất cả những ai than trách
Moisen mà thật ra là than trách Ngài, Cha của họ, Đấng đã mang họ ra khỏi
cảnh nô lệ và dẫn họ trên con đường băng qua sa mạc để tiến về miền đất tự
do. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Tuần lễ này, Tuần Thánh, thời điểm dẫn chúng ta đến Lễ
Phục Sinh, chúng ta sẽ theo con đường tự hạ mình này của Chúa Giêsu. Có thế
tuần lễ này mới là tuần "thánh" cho chúng ta nữa! </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Chúng ta sẽ cảm thấy thái độ khinh bỉ của thành phần lãnh
đạo dân này và những nỗ lực của họ trong việc gài bẫy Người. Chúng ta sẽ ở
đó để thấy việc phản bội của Giuđa, một trong số 12, kẻ sẽ bán Người để lấy
30 đồng bạc. Chúng ta sẽ thấy Chúa bị bắt và giải đi như một tội phạm; bị
các môn đệ bỏ rơi, bị kéo đến Hội Đồng Đầu Mục Do Thái, bị lên án tử, bị
đánh đòn và xỉ nhục. Chúng ta sẽ nghe thấy Phêrô, "đá tảng" giữa các môn đệ,
chối bỏ Người 3 lần. Chúng ta sẽ nghe những tiếng la ó của đám đông, bị
thành phần lãnh đạo của họ xui bẩy thúc giục, thành phần muốn thả tên
Barabas mà đóng đinh Chúa Giêsu. Chúng ta sẽ thấy Người bị các quân lính chế
nhạo, bị mặc áo điều và đội mạo gai. Sau đó, trên con đường sầu thương vác
thập giá của Người, chúng ta sẽ nghe thấy những lời nhạo báng diễu cợt của
dân chúng cùng thành phần lãnh đạo của họ, những kẻ phỉ báng tư cách làm Vua
và Con Thiên Chúa của Người.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Đó là đường lối của Thiên Chúa, đường lối khiêm hạ. Đó là
đường lối của Chúa Giêsu; không còn một đường lối nào khác. Không có chuyện
khiêm nhượng mà lại không khổ nhục. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Đi theo con đường này cho tới cùng, Người Con của Thiên
Chúa đã mặc lấy "thân phận của một tên nô lệ" (Philiphê 2:7). Thế thì khiêm
tốn có nghĩa là phục vụ. Nghĩa là giành chỗ cho Thiên Chúa bằng cách tước bỏ
bản thân mình, "làm cho mình trở nên rỗng không", như Thánh Kinh nói (câu
7). Đó là những gì khổ nhục hơn hết mọi sự. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Tuy nhiên, có một đường lối khác phản lại đường lối của
Chúa Kitô. Đó là thế tục, đường lối của thế gian. Thế gian gợi lên đường lối
phù hoa hư ảo, kiêu hãnh, thành đạt... một đường lối khác. Tên Gian Ác đã
nêu lên đường lối này cho cả Chúa Giêsu nữa, trong thời gian Người ở trong
sa mạc 40 đêm ngày. Thế nhưng Chúa Giêsu liền loại trừ nó. Cùng với Người,
chúng ta cũng có thể thắng vượt chước cám dỗ này, chẳng những ở những giây
phút quan trọng mà còn trong đời sống thường ngày nữa. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Nơi vấn đề này, chúng ta được trợ giúp và an ủi bởi mẫu
gương của rất nhiều con người nam nữ trong thinh lặng và kín đáo hy hiến
mình hằng ngày trong việc phục vụ người khác: một thân nhân bệnh nạn, một
người già sống đơn côi, một người khuyết tật... </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Chúng ta cũng nghĩ đến tình trạng khổ nhục phải trải qua
của tất cả những ai, vì muốn sống trung thành với Phúc Âm, đã gặp phải thái
độ kỳ thị và phải trả giá của mình. Chúng ta cũng nghĩ tới những người anh
chị em của chúng ta đang bị bách hại vì họ là Kitô hữu, những vị tử đạo
trong thời đại của chúng ta. Họ từ khước không chịu chối bỏ Chúa Kitô và họ
phải chịu xỉ nhục cùng tổn thương về phẩm giá. Họ bước theo Người trên con
đường Người đi. Chúng ta có thể nói về "một đám mây nhân chứng" (Do Thái
12:1). </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Chúng ta cương quyết tiến bước theo cùng một con đường ấy,
bằng một tình yêu bao la đối với Người, Vị Chúa và là Đấng Cứu Thế của chúng
ta. Tình yêu sẽ hướng dẫn chúng ta và cống hiến sức mạnh cho chúng ta. Vì
Người ở đâu chúng ta cũng sẽ ở đó (xem Gioan 12:26). Amen. </font></p>
