Phanxicô sẽ đến thăm nhà tù Rebibbia ở vùng ngoại ô nằm ở phía Đông Bắc Rôma.
Lúc 5:30 ngài sẽ cử hành Thánh Lễ Tiệc Ly tại nhà nguyện "Padre Nostro"
trong khuôn viên nhà tù và rửa chân cho một số nam tù nhân trong trại
Rebibbia và cả một số nữ tù nhân đến từ một nhà tù phụ nữ gần đó. Tuyên úy
nhà tù Rebibbia, là cha Sandro Spriano, nói trong một cuộc phỏng vấn với Đài
phát thanh Vatican rằng "Chúng tôi quá đỗi hạnh phúc vì Đức Giáo Hoàng đã
chấp nhận lời mời tôi đã đưa ra khi tôi gặp ngài trong một Thánh Lễ tại nhà
nguyện Santa Marta hồi tháng Chín năm ngoái. Ngài nói với tôi rằng nếu có
thể, ngài sẽ đến vào Thứ Năm Tuần Thánh. Thực tế là ngài đã giữ lời hứa này
và điều này làm cho chúng tôi rất, rất hạnh phúc: đó là một điều tuyệt vời.
