Các Dân Tộc, trong thập niên từ năm 1980 đến 1989, có115 nhà truyền giáo bị
giết. Thập niên tiếp theo, tức là từ năm 1990 đến Năm Thánh 2000 con số này
tăng lên gần gấp 6 lần với 604 nhà truyền giáo bị sát hại. Sự đột biến này
chủ yếu là kết quả của tội ác diệt chủng ở Rwanda, với 248 nhà truyền giáo
bị giết tại đây.</font></p>

truyền giáo bị thiệt mạng vì bạo lực chống lại đức tin Kitô. Riêng trong năm
qua 2014, 26 vị đã bị giết bao gồm 17 linh mục, 1 thầy, 6 nữ tu, 1 chủng
sinh, và 1 giáo dân.</font></td>
